Critical: Communication, ProfessionalismAfter planning a fall weekend getaway with my wife and booking a couples massage I gave a down payment of $180. Due to a unforeseen circumstance. ( I was deployed to Del Rio Tx to provide medical care for the influx of immigrants flooding the Texas border ). I had to leave quickly so my wife called to cancel the appointment. She left a message 7 days prior to our appointment. She received a text thanking her for the cancelation. To our surprise NO credit was issued? No call back? When my wife reached out to ask for a refund or credit the owner told my wife “you could be making-up that story” and we dont give refunds because we had to schedule staff and order flowers. We gave a 7 days notice! I doubt flowers had been ordered. and I doubt the appt went unfilled. The owner also said “your wife could have come in by herself” We live almost 4 hours away? When I called to ask for the refund I was hung up on repeatedly, I was hung up on when I asked the owner to please talk to me respectfully and please let me speak without being talked over. If I was offered a credit, I would have taken it and planned another get away later this year but I was never offered that option.
