Mary’s African Hair Braiding

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, ValueThis took place July 17th…. I scheduled an appointment a month in advance at 9am before my trip on 7/23. She also quoted me $150 for box braids w/my own hair and $160 if I us s her hair. I told her I’d use her hair instead. I even showed her a picture from her business page of exactly how I wanted my hair. When I arrived, she had another lady there and realized that she double booked us. She asked if I had called the day before, and I reminded her I scheduled a month in advance. She asked if I could come back at 2.I agreed because I one I wouldn’t be able to get in with anyone else the same day. When I came back, she still wasn’t done and didn’t start on my hair until an hour later. She also didn’t have the hair I wanted so I had to settle with what she had. When she was done, I noticed the braids weren’t as long as I’d like and she had cut the ends of SOME of them and it looked uneven. She also charged me $170. Had I’d known she didn’t have the type of hair I wanted and that she was going to charge me more than what she quoted me, I would’ve gotten my own hair and went somewhere else. I didn’t want to argue with her because I was already very upset.
