Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI initially made a series of 6 appointments for my mom and I for the laser hair removal service. When I called, I asked about their Groupon and was asked to not purchase it because they would lose money, but they would honor the price listed on Groupon if I had proof of the prices listed. During our first consultation appointment with Mary about 10% of the consultation was spent discussing the hair removal process and the other 90% was her trying to upsell me on additional services offered, even though I mentioned that I was between jobs and did not need anything else. We only saw Mary during our first visit and then met with a very nice woman, I believe Haley, who ultimately left the salon. Following our last session (December 17, 2019), we asked what we should do if we still haven’t seen the results that we were expecting. We were instructed to wait 6 weeks as the hair follicles can still change and then call back if we would like to book additional sessions. When I asked about additional sessions the receptionist informed me that she was new and thought that my Groupon pricing would still be honored since we weren’t satisfied with the current results and would not be willing to pay full-price for additional sessions now knowing that nothing may change. She informed me that Rita (main receptionist) would call me back with an answer. I waited two days without hearing anything before I called in. Rita was extremely rude, as she was during most appointments and said that as of January 2020, they would not accept Groupons. This seemed like a very convenient answer since we were asked to wait until after the new year to look into additional appointments. I asked why this was never mentioned to us during our last appointment or when we asked about potentially booking follow-up sessions. She did not have an answer for me. My mom and I both had a negative experience with Mary Turner Day Spa and would strongly urge you to reconsider receiving hair removal services from this establishment. They conveniently change rules (Groupon) without publicizing them to current & future customers as address questions with a defensive and rude stance.
