I was referred to the Martino Cartier Salon in Washington Township New Jersey by Cooper Medical Center. From the initial call to the salon to the completion of the appointment I was in AWE! Upon arrival at the salon, I was met with such graciousness. Martino’s confidence in his profession is contagious! He immediately removes any apprehension you may have had about wearing a wig. You walk out of his salon feeling like a million dollars! I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a trim to a full makeover! This is important because a stylist can easily fry your hair if they don’t know what they’re doing. I’ve had other stylists at the salon fill in for Martino when he was away and they are just as good. My hair has never looked better. The salon is clean and beautifully decorated. I love to support a business that gives back to the community. Besides all the local community gifts he gives, Martino provides wigs to cancer patients FREE of charge and grants wishes for terminally ill kids. I cannot say enough about Martino and his salon. He takes time to know every client, their needs and genuinely cares about each one. He is larger than life and yet makes you feel like you’re the only one there. His staff, his family, his give back- sets his apart. People travel from all over the world just to have his salon’s experience- I can’t blame them. i have done several keratin treatments before and that was the worst!!!!! I asked them for a treatment that reduces and smoothes the curly hair. Martino’s assistant is the one who was working on my hair, she honestly did a great job straightening it! However, after 3 days I washed my hair and WOW as if I made nothing!!!! Literally, i could have done a hair mask at home instead of all this! A $300 dollars service for literally no effect!. I called the salon and thought they would have an answer for what happened, they got back to Martino and all what was said oh you shouldn’t expect a smoothed hair with a keratin treatment, and when I argued about this telling them no that’s not what you said and my hair is the same as before not even 5% difference, they said that you didn’t use a keratin shampoo! Although I used Olaplex shampoo, and everyone knows that its Paraban and sulfate free. Again, they got back to me saying that no you should have used a KERATIN shampoo. I told them no one mentioned that i need a KERATIN shampoo through the whole visit it’s not my fault, they were like we have nothing else to say!

It’s awesome that Wigs for Wishes provides free wigs to women who are battling cancer, but the gift of wigs is not what makes Wigs for Wishes a truly awesome charity, it’s the way they deliver that gift that makes their charity truly awesome. The positive support and energy throughout the process raises the spirit, confidence and empowers the women who are lucky enough to benefit from Wigs for Wishes generosity. I was able to watch someone I love who was fortunate to be one of these lucky women. Because of the amazing way that Wigs for Wishes treated my loved one, instead of feeling devastated by the loss of her hair she instead felt confident and beautiful about herself even when she isn’t wearing the wig.

The only salon I’ll ever go to for my hair. It’s clean, beautiful, everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and the service is great. I’ve been going to Patty for at least 10+ years and she’s the best. A little pricey but everyone knows what they’re doing and they’re really good at their job! And you can get free wine while you get your hair done!!! Love this salon
