This is my second time coming for knotless braids at this salon. Mary is always professional and accommodating. I loved the BET SOUL music station playing videos it was a good vibe all day! My braider took her time with my small knotless. They are AMAZING! No tension, no soreness and they are SUPER NEAT! Ladies bring some snacks and water for small below the waist length knotless lol. Just prepare to take a break for this style but it’s so worth it!!

Got a same day appointment. Called to ask about availability and pricing for 2 cornrow braids for my daughter…she told me $20 on the phone after service was finished they told me $40. The end of the braids looks like they got too much Jam or something on them. I do not like the braids.

Getting an appointment was quick and easy. The braids are nice and neat. However, I did not receive the service I requested/ paid for. I requested knotless box braids and only received small boxes in the front of my head. Meaning ONLY the first two rows. The back/crown of my hair has terribly huge boxes (that aren’t even the same size) and is absolutely NOT what I asked for/PAID for. This was my first time and unfortunately will be my last time trying and African Braiding shop.

I was in the area for a funeral and was pleased when I ran across this location. I only use African hair braiding salons for my three girls and myself. The prices were not gauged. I found prices reasonable and the same as what I pay in Virginia. Mary was professional when scheduling and confirming my appointment. To be honest, I was hesitant after reading the other reviews. It caused me to doubt their professional advice about the normal tendencies of a young child my daughter’s age and the best hairstyle suitable for her stamina. I’m glad I trusted their advice and cautioned against everything I read. Days later, my girls are still getting compliments on their hair and I’m glad I have a salon to go to for my braids whenever I’m back in the area.
