I just visited your website and I was a bit confused with the section that says Pricing, but then it says “Call for pricing estimations” Why have a tab to click on for prices and then instruct to call for prices? You could just say that to begin with and save people the trouble. My advice is to construct your website to be more user friendly and understanding. You lost a potential customer here, which I estimate to be around 1400- 1700 a year you could be making if your website was more professional .

Fast and neat. My daughter got box braids from Marlene’s by far one of the best braids salons. The styler took about 4 hours from start to finish. I did call to book again but they were out of the hair I needed for my style, but it had been ordered. They did however offer me $10 off if I brought my own hair. My daughters have had 2 styles apiece both were box braids and all different prices. They charge for length.

I am middle of the road on this review because the stylists are talented but the professionalism leaves too much to be desired. They would do well do use a script or decent scheduler to discuss timing, reiterate costs, and inform clients when circumstances are different than their page like needing to provide supplies, only accepting cash, etc. They are a friendly bunch but I will likely refrain from booking again. Their price is nice but I am willing to pay a bit more for a quality experience overall.

I’ve been going to them for years. They’re the only people I trust with my hair. I always get compliments about their work. Very talented. They are kind, personable, and fun to be around. Prices are fair for the quality. I highly recommend them!

I absolutely love how my hair turned out. After being in Madison for 2 years I have finally trusted someone here to do my hair. I am giving them 4 stars because they were a half hour late getting to the shop. My appointment was at 9:30am but they did not arrive until 10:00am. Also, there were 2 people braiding my hair and it took them 6 hours. When I typically get my hair braided in the same style the young lady only take 4 and she always braid alone (shop in Chicago). Other than that I appreciate the service.

They overbooked. They allow all these people to walk in at 9am and don’t have enough workers to braid people hair. Had people walking in and waiting 1.5 to 2 hours before they even started on their hair. They just say they have someone coming. This one lady left while her hair was being braided to get something to eat because her braider went to work on someone else’s hair and it was taking too long. They have a website to make an appointment but they don’t even follow it. Then after they do braid your hair and finish it and dip your hair in hot water, they don’t even make sure your hair is dry so you are not walking out in the cold with wet hair and clothing. This is still Winter and a pandemic. They have people sitting close to one another with no social distancing. They just make you take off your shoes and wash your hands oh and you have to wear a mask.

They are good people and work hard. This shop lost three stars because of my experience today. I came in for a 11am appointment but they weren’t ready for me. I was asked to leave for an hour and then come back. When I came back I still had to wait another two hours. I asked the owner Marlene if I would be able to get a discount for the inconvenience and her reply was, “For what?”. I decided to leave unfortunately. My time was wasted and the owner wasn’t willing to right that wrong. A o e hour wait was fine but a three hour wait couldn’t help the owner understand my inconvenience. Shame. The entire point of me going was due to having a fractured wrist making it impossible for me to do my own hair without hurting myself.
