I went to Marlaina because a friend recommended her to me – a recommendation I’m very grateful for. I had a truly lovely massage. It was perhaps the most relaxing massage I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot of massages over the years). Marlaina’s workspace is clean, comfortable, quiet, cozy and warm. At first I wasn’t sure about the music – it’s not the typical spa stuff – but I found I quite liked it. Marlaina was very welcoming and inquired about any special needs I had. My shoulder has been bothering me for a couple months, so I asked her to give it some extra attention, which she did. The pressure she used was gentle but firm. I felt that I got some deep tissue work, but I wasn’t at all in pain afterward. I was so pleased with my experience that I purchased a discounted package of five massages, which I plan to use over the next couple of months. If you’re looking for something a little more personalized than the typical spa experience or if you need help with an injury, I highly recommend Marlaina Bodywork.

Marlaina creates a calm and cozy environment both by the way that she has designed her space with intention and with her kind and warm personality. Marlaina gives the best massages I’ve ever had! She manages to get all the knots and tension out of my back and whole body while also making the experience super relaxing. It just feels amazing and every time I go I think to myself that it’s so worth it. I also learn more about how to take care of my body since she makes sure to share what she noticed afterwards.
