Marina Massage, was awesome several years ago. The last 2 “massages,” were absolutely terrible. I didn’t receive a massage, both times, someone rubbed my back without doing a massage. When I repeatedly stated that I wanted a massage, I was told that massages using hands are $20 more. They rub their arms up and down your back; that’s not a massage. What a rip off and bait and switch technique.

It was not a massage, it was more like poking and pinching randomly in many different places. No rhythm or flow. The masseuse used a very hot stone on my tricep area that made me flinch when it touched my skin. I also had to ask that they don’t press so deep with their finger nail into my skin. It was not a great experience. When I paid I left tip, they asked for $5 more and I said no! Very negative experience

For years it was Marico massage… lots of great, authentic Thai therapists… some of the same staff are still there with new owners. Great deep tissue Shiatsu style (they walk on youe back), Thai Yoga style massage (they twist tou jnto a prezle shape). I like Tony or Crystal best.

They have signs EVERYWHERE remembering ( ASKING) for Tips!!! It is ridiculous!!!!!!! That makes me so upset, because that would NEVER BE ASKED!And they get upset if you give a normal tip . Never again, I found a better place.

They will DEMAND a ‘recommended’ $20 on a $60 massage, if you dont they get upset (even if you tip 15-20%). So weird and awkward. Massage was only ok, didn’t use any oil or lotions so not sure why they automatically demand a 30% tip for not doing anything special.

Let me start off by saying I had good experiences with Travis and Max previously. Today I was paired with Sam- he didn’t use any lotion/ oil, didn’t turn me over and was breathing really hard the whole time and like reacting too much like saying “that’s right.” Also the music turned off part way through and nothing ever started again and he didn’t say anything about it. So I’m at the checkout and when it came to Tipping I tipped $11. They have a “suggested gratuity” of $30 for $70 massages (I honestly

Jj is hands-down the person to see at Marina Massage!! I can’t speak for any of the other massage therapists. Jj goes above and beyond, paying attention to the needs of your muscles and bones finding things you didn’t even know were off! Everytime I see him I feel a noticeable difference in my posture, circulation and energy levels! His methods are unique, he knows what he is doing!
