I love my haircut, it’s exactly what I asked for, however I don’t love paying $20 to flat iron my hair when I didn’t ask for it. I paid for the cut and blowout, and asked if the blowout was just a quick blow dry or if it was an actual blow dry/style because I’ve got crazy frizzy hair and it’s not easy to blow dry straight. If it was just a quick blow dry I would have just passed and done it at home, but she said she would blow dry it straight for me. I guess because it didn’t turn out straight, she told me she would flat iron it to make it straight, I said ok not thinking that it was going to cost me anymore money, only to find out at the register that I paid $20 for that flat iron. I would have definitely just done it at home and saved the money at that point. I’ve had my hair blow dryed straight many times without a flat iron, it’s just not easy to do. That’s why I ask ahead of time. I’m pretty disappointed about that. Even when I mentioned at the register that I was unaware I was paying $20 to flat iron my hair, nothing was said about it. The salon looks great, everyone was doing great work in there and every customer seemed to be leaving happy, I really wish she would have made it clear that since she couldn’t blow dry my hair straight, it would cost me $20 more for her to go in and fix it with a flat iron. Not sure why I paid for that?

What I love best about Maria is that she listens to what you want, and knows how to achieve it best for your hair type and face. You can walk in with a picture or an idea and she has a great way of knowing exactly how to execute it just right for you. Appointments are always kept, the wait is never long (if at all). She is great with kids too!
