Price list doesn’t include hair. Hair can be provided at an extra cost. 4. Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled 48hours before your appointment time to prevent a full service charge. 5. Styles cannot be change on the day of service. If you would like a different style please call us 2 days before to change your style. 6. I had my hair braided for the first time ever. I was nervous, but so happy I found Mariam Hair Braiding. Daba was so patient and explained everything to me. Her consultation made it easy for me to decide. The shop is beautiful. They worked quickly and the results were awesome! I loved my box braids so much that I put them in again as soon as I took them out. I received so many compliments and I recommended Mariam’s to everyone who asked who did my hair. ! I highly recommend the stylists here!

My experience at Mariam African Hair Braiding has been the best experience I’ve had while getting my hair done. The owner is extremely professional and nice, as well as the stylists. My hair appointment was for 6 hours and I was out on time. I absolutely love my hair, it’s neat and there was little tension on my scalp. My stylist Coumba was so nice and made sure I was satisfied with the final look. I will definitely come back!

I have been coming here for years!!!!! The absolute best, Daba is such a pleasure and her staff is amazing as well! I have my braids styled exactly the way I have shown Daba and her team styles, they say got it and they really do, always exceptionally pleased. There is never a communication problem and if any issues occur they are quickly resolved. She even does bomb lace fronts!!! Definitely recommend!!!! They do EVERYTHING!!!!

My son, daughter and I visited this salon Friday, August 5, 2022. I had a HORRIBLE experience here!! The owner was cursing and acting irate. She acted like she wanted to fight. She will claim my review is fake but here is my DETAILED story. Let me preface by stating that the owner CANT braid. My daughter and I arrived at 9am. After about 30 minutes 2 braiders began our hair. My son had a later appointment. When he arrived the owner claimed that my son had “too much product in his hair” and that she couldn’t braid it. She also stated that if she tried to blow dry his hair it would burn down her salon. I was a bit perplexed by her statement since my son, daughter and I had put the same products in our hair and blew dry our hair the night before. I have never heard someone having “too much product in their hair” so I suggested she blow dry it to reduce the product???? She blew dried his hair and after she braided his first braid it looked like it had been braided weeks ago. I advised her that I did not want her to braid my son’s hair. When I expressed this to the owner she became irate and refused to finish me and my daughters hair. I told her that was absolutely no problem. I advised her that I could gladly go to 125th and have the women down there finish my hair. She made negative comments about 125th stating that if i wanted to “go to the ghetto feel free.” I simply advised her not to charge me since SHE CHOSE not to finish my hair. I called the police to make sure that I had documentation of the incident just in case she tried to charge my card (which she did). I’m so glad I used my Amex because the charge was reversed and she was not paid. There are so many reputable braiding shops. This is not one of them. If you don’t believe me click on reviews under the business name and read lowest reviews. The stories are insane. I wish I would have done this before visiting here. For the love of God DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE!!

I got medium peekaboo box braids, and when I tell yall my hair looked great, it looked great, they dont braid tight, and i could actually sleep after getting my hair did that night. The staff are friendly and the bathroom is clean. Usually box braids would take a long long time, but my hair was finished way before i was expecting it to be done, their braiders are skilled and i reccomend you go to this place if you want your hair laid.
