For some more context, I have long, thick, curly/wavy/frizzy hair that I typically straighten with a flat iron, and I am a first time customer at Marchelle Salone. I stumbled upon Marchelle Salone two days ago after my hair was BUTCHERED at a different salon in Brookline (which I will never return to).Cathy was able to salvage my disastrous haircut and turn it into something that quite frankly looks like exactly what I originally wanted. Cathy also blew my hair out really nicely (not the typical mushroom pouf I’ve experienced at most salons) and made me feel really comfortable. I felt like I was actually having my hair handled by a professional. Also worth noting, everyone at the salon was cordial, and the receptionist was absolutely lovely. When I called to see if I could be seen ASAP to correct my bad haircut, she was eager to help, and didn’t make me feel like I was being dramatic. While quality is the most important thing to me when choosing a hair salon and stylist, the atmosphere of Marchelle Salone was just what the doctor ordered: clean, open, bright, welcoming. For some more context, I have long, thick, curly/wavy/frizzy hair that I typically straighten with a flat iron, and I am a first time customer at Marchelle Salone. I went in to reshape an outgrown pixie-ish cut and every part of the process, from talking with the receptionist to getting the cut, was so lovely. The vibe in this place is like a Sunday brunch with all your best friends, all the staff members are so friendly and supportive and the physical space is gorgeous. (Also Aveda products are the best and smell so so good). I saw Michelle and can’t recommend her enough. I usually dread the forced conversation that comes with getting a haircut but Michelle is such a pleasant, warm human who was a joy to get to know. She was great about checking in throughout the cut and I felt comfortable telling her what I wanted. She did a perfect job! And to top it all off, the premises is impeccably clean and Michelle gave me a fresh disposable mask and fresh towel to clean off after the cut. This was the best salon experience I’ve ever had!! I went in to reshape an outgrown pixie-ish cut and every part of the process, from talking with the receptionist to getting the cut, was so lovely. The vibe in this place is like a Sunday brunch with all your best friends, all the staff members are so friendly and supportive and the physical space is gorgeous.
