When I moved to Long Island, when I was a kid, my father took me looking for a place for both of us to get a hair cut. We stumbled upon Maple Avenue barber shop (this was back in 1994) went in and we both got our first hairctus on Long Island. As I have gotten older, I have moved further and further East on the Island and still go to get my haircut at Maple Avenue…normally on Thursdays when they are open later. I always wait for Richard…whether that’s 10 minutes or 1 hour. When I was first going there with my father Vincent was running the show and Tommy was the barber I always waited for. Since their retirement, I’ve been getting my hair cut by Richard. Always a pleasure to go there. A real barber shop with good barbers!
