Great stylist! Listens, provides feedback, follow up instructions and ideas. Relaxing atmosphere. Very good massage and mani pedi services as well. Very competitive pricing for all services. People are nice. Though technically allow walk ins – honestly wouldn’t try it. You need an appointment – they’re always busy. I’d give a 5 star rating for their category – a friendly, neighborhood salon and day spa that exceeds service expectations – but it’s not a 5 star atmosphere for a spa.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI am 60 years old and have never been so disappointed in a hair appointment. My sister and I had 10:00 and 11:00 appointments. She was to get a wash and trim and I was getting a wash, trim and wanted a test French braid for a wedding. She trimmed my sisters hair uneven and barely dried her hair. My hair doesn’t look like it was trimmed at all and she braided it wet and loose on one side. We believe we do know why. While Makela was doing my sister’s hair she asked the receptionist to call her Mom to be there at 11:00. (What? That was my appointment time) Her mother showed up while she was finishing me. She said “Hi Mom. Thanks for coming early.” Then turned my chair and said I was good to go. I just sat there. She said “ oh did you want to see the back?” I said “yeah!” She handed me a mirror, barely let me look, then took it back. Mantra will never get another dollar from me. I was considering them for hair, makeup and nails for the wedding. I am 60 years old and have never been so disappointed in a hair appointment. My sister and I had 10:00 and 11:00 appointments. She was to get a wash and trim and I was getting a wash, trim and wanted a test French braid for a wedding. She trimmed my sisters hair uneven and barely dried her hair. I’ve been going to the Mantra Salon for about 9 years now. They know what they are doing. I’ve had my nails done there twice (I personally don’t get my nails done often) but I dye my hair vibrant colors frequently and get my eyebrows waxed there. The people there are easy to talk to and normally offer you water or coffee if you have to wait under the hair dryer. There are magazines to look at and the overall vibe is nice. I always have Tammy do my hair, she knows I like it edgy looking I never walk out the door looking like a mess. She has even stayed after close to finish my hair. She recommends products when I ask about them that would strengthen my hair. All the people there are very nice and will gladly engage in conversation even if they arent doing your hair. Overall I always recommend this place. I also take my dog to mantra paws to get her nails trimmed and they do a very good job there and clearly care for the animals they handle. I also recommend them if you have pets.
