I’m really particular about my nails (I like them to be pretty much perfect.) I couldn’t get an appointment at my usual spot, so I decided to try Mani Pedi & More out on a whim. I made an appointment for 3:45 but was kept waiting for 25 minutes. However, the woman who did my nails was very friendly and accommodating—she had me in & out in about 45 minutes. Usually I like my nail tech to take their time because when they rush, I’m not happy with how my nails turn out. That being said, I was in a hurry so I didn’t really have much of a choice. I showed the tech what I wanted and she did a pretty good job. Overall my experience was satisfactory. If you are looking for quick service with fair prices, this is the place.

To start off, I originally had an appointment with someone else at 5. When I arrived a different lady started on my nails. After 45+ minutes only the tips were on. The lady was definitely new. The shape was nothing I asked for. She applied the acrylic way too thick. All my nails were different lengths. The entire appointment she was asking what to do next. The color did not match what I asked for. Overall it took about 2 hours. I was charged $60. Knowing that the lady is new and my nails were not done to my satisfaction, there is no reason I should have paid $60. That is outrageous. Not even 24 hours later a nail popped off. I will not be returning to this salon. I have never had such a bad nail experience.

I went in for a polish change and it was really good pricing. The only downside is that I got gel and that usually stays on for about 2-3 weeks without chipping right? We’ll probably 6 hours after I got my manicure today I notice that it chipped. Like I said for what I got it was really good pricing but it made me sad a little bit lol. My technician was really nice and did everything wonderfully. It was a very good environment. But my nail chipped.

I have given many chances to this smaller, family-owned nail shop but have finally decided that I am done accepting their behavior. I have been getting my acrylics filled there every two weeks for the last 6 months so I feel I have a pretty clear understanding and impression of how things are run there. I have had four occasions of having my appointment cancelled on me last minute (once at 5:10 when I was on my way to my 5:15 appointment, TWICE that I’ve shown up and my nail tech was “not there”, and once when I showed up and they blatantly lied by saying they tried calling me to tell me they had to reschedule but I never received any calls and my number has never changed). So it’s been a repeated problem and they never even seem to care or try to rectify the problem. I’m done with them at this point which is unfortunate. I love Mai and Thu, they are good techs and my review does not reflect their work. The one time I did agree to have someone else do my fill was a bad experience-she was extremely rough, threw my hands around and was not careful not to hit my cuticles with the dremmel. I’m an excellent tipper and expected to at least be able to reliably show up to my appointments and be seen with who I scheduled with but continued to have problems every two weeks. On top of all that they are just not a well run business. There is never enough staff for the amount of walk ins they get, receptionists are young kids that always seem confused or unsure what’s happening. At the end of the day I can only tolerate being stood up so many times before I take my money elsewhere and I’m sad to say they took me to that point. Will advise everyone I know to stay far away from this place as they have zero respect for your time and schedule and lack the common decency to even tell you when they have cancelled your appointment.

I’m definitely coming back and especially to Mai mai ☺️ The shop it self was cozy and clean. All the workers were really nice. Worst nail experience I have ever had. I asked for a sparkly red for Christmas. My nail tech said she had one even though I could not find it on their ring of samples. She proceeded to dip my nails in clear then put gel over the top. My nails usually last me much longer at every other salon. From day one the clear part in my French manicure has appeared cloudy which is fine. But there is no reason that my hair should be getting stuck under my nails after a week. Oh and I paid more than I have ever paid for “dip powder” even though she put gel over the top. If she has not lied to me I would have chose a different color or just went with gel. The combo does not seem to hold up well. I will never return to this salon.

The tech that did my nails today (Eva) needs to take shaping classes and practice her skill. I wanted white coffin shaped nails with rhinestones. My appt. Was at 11:15 am and I didn’t leave out until 2:29pm. I had her try to shape my nails more evenly and instead of being more detailed she became agitated and in more of a rush to finish. I left with my nails still unevenly shaped and bubbles in my top coat. To be charged $100! Now if my shape was on point I wouldn’t mind the price. I asked for an appointment for 4 people. They assured me when I made the appointment this was possible. It wasn’t, we were stacked. This was my daughter’s (21 year old) idea. Her manicure took maybe 5 minutes. She said her manicurist skipped a bunch of steps. Her nails looked bad. She said she could have done better at home and she was going to take it off when she got home. My manicurist seemed to do all the steps, very quickly and it was hit or miss with the products she was using on me. She threw things at my nails. My sister sitting next to me had no cuticle cream of care, and coats of polish applied with no drying time or fan (mine used) in between, and they never dried. My other daughter who got gels (by the same person who slighted daughter #1) had better results, so I factored that positive outcome in for your stars, giving you a 2 instead of 1. The next day my polish chipped off. Overall this was not the fun relaxing girl bonding experience we were hoping for and 3 out of the 4 of us felt it was a waste of time and money.
