Critical: Punctuality, QualityAsia McFadden installed loc extensions in my hair on May 26th. During our phone consultation I expressed to her that I wanted x-small locs, approximately 150 of them. After sending her pictures of my hair she said she would do a mix of small and x-small locs. I agreed thinking I would get more x-small than small or at least an even mix. She provided the locs and happened to be running a “special” so I paid $650 that day to book my appointment. I live two hours away from her shop so I left home at 9am to be sure I’d arrive by noon. She started on my hair around 12:30. She asked how I wanted my parts done and that’s it. Five hours later she was done. My locs were VERY greasy. The ends were ragged and unfinished looking. She didn’t bother to cut them into the bob that I asked for. She didn’t give me a mirror to see the back. Nothing! By this time I’m tired, starving and the power had gone out in the salon so I just wanted to go home. I figured I would wait and see how I liked them before rushing to judgment even though they were not the size that I asked for. I messaged Asia a few days ago and told her I was not happy with my locs and that I was going to remove them. She didn’t install ANY x-small locs, only small sized locs. She agreed to refund me $250 when I mail them back to her. I wore the locs a few more days while waiting for my new ones to arrive in the mail. As I’m waiting, the locs have started to slip out and it hasn’t even been two weeks!! Not a few of them, ALL of them! All the locs in the back of my head have totally fallen out. I sent her pictures and told her I wanted a full refund and would still mail the locs back to her. She didn’t respond so now I have to take her to small claims court to get my money back. DO NOT GET YOUR LOC EXTENSIONS DONE BY HER! I don’t know if she did this because I paid less than she normally charges or what but it is very unprofessional.
