I was really looking forward to having my hair done here but, sadly, I think I’ll have to take my business elsewhere. Their lack of commitment to new clients is very unfortunate. I had an appointment weeks ago, which was rescheduled by the salon because the stylist was out sick. That appointment was supposed to be rescheduled for today but the salon just called again and cancelled the appointment again with less than an hour before the appointment was supposed to start. No attempt to schedule me in with another stylist or anything. I totally understand people get sick and need time off but I can’t get over being cancelled on twice. Maybe other new clients will have better luck!

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI was referred to this salon by a couple coworkers. When I called to schedule, there was a little bit of a wait but it was absolutely worth it! Immediately walking in, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. I found a lot of salons give off a cold feeling but not this one. The salon was clean and everyone was client focused-you can tell they all really love their jobs. Plenty of parking and the location was pretty easy to find. Courtney was so sweet and y’all Reilly did fantastic! I love the color and cut of my hair-she has true talent and definitely has a HUGE career ahead of her. You can tell how authentically kind and friendly all of the stylists are. If you’re looking for an amazing salon in the downtown Lawrence area, I highly recommend Mane Haus. I was referred to this salon by a couple coworkers. When I called to schedule, there was a little bit of a wait but it was absolutely worth it! Immediately walking in, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. I found a lot of salons give off a cold feeling but not this one. I was told on the phone a hair trim would be $20 however I went in and they trimmed an inch I asked for more and was rushed and told no I went to checkout and i was told it was $55 FOR AN INCH OFF. Do not recommend or make sure your price before receiving the service!!

When I started to see my stylist I had one main goal, and that was to grow out my hair and to get it healthy again. I needed to find someone that I could trust and that would be really honest with me and just tell me how it was. (basically – lay it to me straight!) I had been REALLY hard on my hair!! REALLY HARD!! I had all of these goals – and I wasn’t following any of the proper “hair-care” RULES!! So, my hair was thin, falling out, not growing and well. To be honest I blamed everyone but myself.SO, my new stylist was recommended to me. I started to follow her on Instagram and saw what she was doing. I was really impressed. (however, these were younger girls and I’m older) could she handle an almost 50 year old without making me look like a Grandma? I mean – I don’t want short hair yet! The answer was simple. YES!! For a little over a year now. She’s changed my ways. I now wash my hair only 2 or 3 times a week. I now know the difference between store bought shampoos and salon shampoos. I also know the difference (of purple shampoo) *verdict is still out on that one! She’s amazing in a million different ways!! She makes me laugh when I’m sad, she’s my therapist and doesn’t collect a co-pay! Heck if you’re lucky you may even get a cola if her mothers in town!! She gives the best hair massages you’ve ever felt!! Ask her to do your eyebrows (this is her hidden talent I promise you)!! Your hair color will last I swear a full 7-8 weeks (the products they use smell SO GOOD!!!)My hair stylist – the one and only!! Ms. Sarah Easum! I love you doll – love my hair!! I’ve been going to Mane Haus for awhile now. When I started to see my stylist I had one main goal, and that was to grow out my hair and to get it healthy again. Courtney was recommended to me by a friend. I was on a journey to get my colored dark brunette hair to blonde, but didn’t want to sacrifice the health of my hair. My hair felt dry all the time- probably from a few years of being processed. I was also trying to grow the length of my hair out, and just had not been truly happy with my hair for a while. I knew I needed salon help that I wasn’t getting where I was previously going. From the minute I walked into my appointment, I knew Courtney was the right choice. She kindly explained that while it may take a few sessions to get me as blonde as I wanted, it was the safest thing to do for my hair, and would get me the best results. She walked me through the goals she had for each appointment, and made sure I truly knew what kind of products to use in order to protect my hair. At the first appointment, I was honestly waiting for her to say, “I think we need to give you a good chop and grow it out from there”, because it was so damaged, but she never did. She knew exactly what to do to make sure I got the results that I wanted without sacrificing the quality and health of my hair. In fact, my hair felt healthier after one appointment with Courtney than it had felt in years. I feel more confident, and since my hair is now healthy I don’t have to spend as much time trying to tame it! I have now been going to Courtney at Mane Haus for 7 months, and it is the best decision I have ever made!
