Over priced for cracked beds and sub par customer service: I paid for an upgraded bed. It overheated after a few minutes and the employee working said I’d get an upgrade free on my next visit. Next time I come in the manager wouldn’t let the employee refund my money nor honor the upgrade. Tanning

This was the second time using Malibu but I’ll never go back. And anyone reading this SHOULD NOT go either!! The desk girl would only set the bronzing tanner for 5 minutes!! I just paid $25 dollars for 5 minutes of tanning!!! Thats $300 dollars per hour!! That’s a ridiculous $5 dollars per MINUTE!! I told her that I have used the exact same bed in a different city and I was up to the max time, 18 minutes!!! Giant waste of time and money!! And I’m pretty ticked. She also tells this story the “we just got new bulbs and they’re stronger than the usual bulbs”. With a two second google search, I discovered that the “new bulb” story is not true!! The desk girl is polite but very misinformed. I want my money back!!!

Then I call an they say my account is good because they got money, well they shouldn’t have since I cancelled. Then I decide since it got paid I could go tanning? Clean and usually no wait. I had a membership for 3 years but let it lapse. I decided to go back and paid $55 for one month unlimited tanning, (that’s just level 1). I was very disappointed that they offered 2 weeks of free tanning to everyone right after my purchase. I emailed the owner and asked if she’d extend my month of tanning since I could have waited and tanned for free for 2 weeks but she wasn’t sympathetic. Another reason for the poor rating is they only have stand up for level 2, no beds. I wish there were more options in Tecumseh. I don’t want to go back after my last experience and the lack of customer support when I emailed the owner.

Always loved Malibu! When we left Michigan it was time to find a different location. In Texas planet tan is the same almost. The beds in Texas are truly amazing. I still love Malibu.

The employees are very knowledgeable when it comes to the lotions. They even take lotion training classes to help the guests when it comes to the level of color they want, which lotion is best for your skin, the color & the level bed you’re in. They are very courteous as well.

I was highly disappointed today. I wasn’t able to use my tanning packing due to lack of communication. I paid for 5 session package and only used two. I was under the impression That the packing wouldn’t expire. I asked the employee if I could see the contract for the 5 package session and she could not produce the contact in writing. The customer service rep stated that she tells everyone the terms of the package at time of purchase…
