The studio is unpretentious and very homey. I have had back problems for several years. Because of the pandemic, I had not been to a massage therapist for several years. Yesterday, Sam’s hands found knots and tension points I was not even aware of until he started releasing them. This morning after 10 hours of sleep, I can really feel how much he freed up the muscles. I will definitely be making return visits when we are on Folly Beach. I highly recommend him.

I’ve had over 50 massages in my life and this was by far the best! My husband and I came for a couples massage on our honeymoon and all the stress that had built up over the prior months melted away. Sam takes a holistic approach to massage by focusing not only on the muscles but also on improving freedom of movement. This is not your standard cookie cutter massage- the deep tissue work alleviated long standing knots and I left feeling taller and finally relaxed. I can’t recommend Mālama enough!!

We enjoyed a couples massage while being on our honeymoon in Folly Beach. Both Sam and Josh were amazing and made us feel very comfortable. It was my husbands first massage and now he understand how amazing they can be! Personally I have only had a couple of massages, but that was by far the best. They asked what we do for a living so that they can know where to work on specifically. We hope to return again someday.

I am absolutely floored by my experience with Sam. If his expertise and insight into my specific body and muscular system after only a couple minutes working with it weren’t enough, this absolute professional got rid of mountains of chronic pain and range of motion issues that I had figured were permanent. I think the most important thing to me was that he seemed genuinely excited and happy to be able to fix what issues he could in a short time and to help me understand where they were coming from. I am over the moon with the results and very grateful to have met him. I will be seeing him every time I come back to Folly.

Wow. Sam has a gift! I went in for a relaxation massage as a gift from my wife for my anniversary. He let my body guide him and worked out deep tension I didn’t even realize I was storing. But I could feel the release! It’s the next day and I feel great. I’ve had ten or so massages in my life and this was easily the best. I can’t wait to return.
