Outstanding customer service, the ladies there were so amazing and so nice and help me pick the perfect style for my hair. My wash was the most luxe wash I ever received in my life. And when they did my interlocking it did not hurt at all it felt very smooth and they took very gentle care of my sister locks which are very precious to me!!!! They care for my hair as I care for my hair!!!! I felt the love and positive energy❤️❤️❤️ ✨✨✨✨ Worth every dime, I will be back!!!!!!!!!

I give the young ladies five stars for being sweet and offering a pleasant environment. But five knotless braids over three hundred dollars is too high and it don’t fit the service provided. Salon is average but not high-end. Owner needs to be more present with workers and retraining is needed plus price adjustment on services. I will not never return to Malaika Hair Salon. Please have the best of luck with future improvements!

Exhilarating experience right here in St. Louis. I received a Hollywood head spa treatment! I had a Deluxe Detox. I started off with a rejuvenating eucalyptus steam treatment. Next was the exfoliating Himalayan salt scrub, rejuvenating and tingling my scalp for 30-40 minutes normally, but I went for a whopping 60 minutes since I was celebrating my 60th, I went for the the royal treatment! Totally worth the extra $$$. To remove toxins out of your pores stimulating luxurious hair growth, I got the bentonite charcoal clay mask, really noticed less hair shedding. Next was the Apple cider vinegar steep, then ending a hydration treatment. It was truly a seventh heaven experience!

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueNot only are they super unorganized, they claimed that I didn’t pay for my consultation multiple times (although I did), they didn’t even have my appointment in the system, they were going to try to charge me 500 dollars for box braids (during my consultation), and when I said I didn’t want to pay that much, they instead said “Maybe you should rethink the size or length” and questioned why I didn’t want to pay that much continuously. They also were rude about the fact that I only wanted to buy an oil instead of a more expensive product after my consultation that I had already paid $50 for. This shop is literally , I was going on a wilderness adventure trip and the owner did my hair and it was phenomenal. My hair didn’t scratch it looked at nice and it’s A black on business come on now. then it’s located in the galleria mall . Just absolutely amazing Hairstyling, Blowouts

Back in May 2022 I was looking for a braider to do my hair. I looked all around stl called various places just to see what the prices were so that I could pick the one which I can afford. This place popped up on my search and I went to their website which at the time didn’t list any pricing.. so I called, but they weren’t able to give me an estimate over the phone… so I had to make an appointment for a “consultation” just to get some braids. Which no other place required. Other salons just told me the cost out front. I made the consultation anyways. I went in, and talked with them; everyone seemed very friendly, but again I just wanted to know the prices. After the stylist felt around my head to get a feel for my texture she brought a sheet of paper which FINALLY listed the prices. (Which was literally all I wanted to know) felt like this was a wast of my time. The prices were way out of my budget as I am a young adult paying my way through college and living on my own. Those prices were much higher than other salons. No worries, I walked out knowing that this Salon wasn’t in my price range. But what’s been really annoying is the constant calls I’ve been getting from them. Like they called me today, and they called me Monday and than two weeks before that. They’ve literally been calling me, emailing me since May! The first time they called after the appointment I explained that I went a different direction, and everything seemed fine. But than literally two weeks later got another call and another email asking if I’m still interested in getting my hair done. I unsubscribed from the emails, but haven’t blocked their number since I was keeping it for a possible future appointment when I might be able to afford it. But I’m over all calls.

I definitely enjoyed my experience at Malaika Hair. My hair came out in the best shape it has ever been. I was able to get a deep wash and condition, blow out, and my end trimmed and split ends repaired. Ariana was very engaging and made the experience.
