Mako’s Hair Braiding

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueThis place is absolutely terrible… there’s a lot of things you would expect from a shop like that but the way the treat you if you offer any type of preference on what you would like is absolutely terrible. My last straw should’ve been when I came in and the owner Mako was harassing an older lady because she was unsatisfied with the way she did her hair. She openly berated this woman for at least 3 hours and kept on bringing up the situation even after she left, it was super uncomfortable. The last time I went, it was a rescheduled appointment because the owner refused to listen to what I actually wanted and kept trying to braid what she thought would be best for me. Which is confusing because who is paying? This place is absolutely terrible… there’s a lot of things you would expect from a shop like that but the way the treat you if you offer any type of preference on what you would like is absolutely terrible. She gave me small braids and in the middle of my hair was these big huge braids. I could only wear my hair in a ponytail. I couldn’t wear my hair in different styles. Overpriced for the quality of work. The owner does very good hair. But one of the sisters that did my hair was terrible. I went there for micro braids. She gave me small braids and in the middle of my hair was these big huge braids. I could only wear my hair in a ponytail. I couldn’t wear my hair in different styles. They were talking in their language not knowing I understand. The stylist doing my hair said my 8yr old daughter look like she was ready to cry & laughed. After 7hrs 1030-5:30pm our hair still was not done, we were charged almost full price, and style requested was’nt style received. They schedule you, when we arrive, she asked if we had an appointment & told me leave my 8yr old daughter with strangers & come back. Then asked me to come back the next day or Monday bcuz as they were gossiping people in that neighborhood do’nt have anything to do anyways. I work full-time time for an agency that I could’ve reported them to nor do I live in that area.
