Critical: Quality, ValueI had not had a relaxer in a while so before the services began I stated that I had a lot of new growth I showed her where the new growth stopped. Then she started the relaxer the 1st thing weird I noticed is she did add any grease to my edges like all the other salons have done in the past. She did not use gloves either to protect her hands. Later on I realized why. The relaxer was by design essentials which normally does really well on my hair. She had a huge tube of it already open when I got there that was pretty much empty she scraped the last little bit out to do my hair with and it was no where near enough for the amount of new growth I had. The product was likely old because it didn’t straighten my hair at all. And she had it on my ears and everywhere else and it didn’t even burn me and I usually burn easily if relaxer touches my bare skin. She tried to say she doesn’t do relaxers often which only causes me to question how long she was using out this tube for??? Relaxers only keep so long once opened. She also showed poor technique when it came to blowing my hair out and just parting and sectioning off my hair. When she flat ironed my hair she burnt my ear and my face. She claimed she only had one ear protector because her clients were walking out with them ‍♀️.
