I’ve been going to Mainstreet Nails for a few months now and I always have a great experience. I get a dip manicure and Kim does an awesome job! She puts thinner coats on than other places I’ve gone and it lasts even longer for me. She supports the colors I choose, even if they create a bigger mess for her.

I was looking for another nail salon to go to since I moved from Minneapolis to Hopkins. The reviews looked decent so, I decided I would give them a try. I walked into the salon and was turned away because I did not have an appointment when it clearly states on the door that walk-ins are welcome. If the place is short on staff then they should not be displaying that walk-ins are welcome. I will not be returning to them or even giving them my business.

If I could give them a zero rating I would. I left there with the ugliest nails ever. The pictures they have on google are supposedly just pictures and they do things different there that was what the employee working there said. I wouldn’t recommend. I was also fully charged for the nails and denied a refund due to my post. Which is fine. Will be making a complaint to the board.

Overall I thought this place was fine. They were affordable and quick but somethings felt off. My mail prep seemed like steps were missed and when I asked her to cut my natural nails she said they were short enough anyways (I wanted them cut all the way down before the acrylic was applied). There wasn’t really any cuticle prep or removal. I liked the nail shape but each nail is off in shape or size, no one else would notice but me. The technician got mad at me when the polish got on my skin around the nail when I wasn’t doing it on purpose and made a big deal on having to clean it up. There was also no cuticle oil afterwards which is usually what I look forward to especially in dry months. Overall, it was fine, maybe better for just a gel polish without acrylics

Used to go here years ago, jumping, hopping place. Moved back in there area to a poorly managed property. Turning people away, never busy, only one or two workers. Nail service just ok. Until they overhaul the management I would not recommend.

I drive from Minneapolis go here because they don’t use the Dremel tool to shortcut cuticle removal or instead of a an Emory board to rough up the surface for polish. Other places had damaged my nails badly using the Dremel tool. Service is friendly. They are efficient, and the massage chairs are nice!
