Critical: Cleanliness, QualityMy friend and I both were unhappy, the lady she had was very rude, neither of them did nail prep and didn’t use sanitized anything. The lady I had cut my cuticles so bad that my fingers are bleeding, my thumb nails are two different sizes (we both got a full set acrylic), the shape job is terrible, she left me with acrylic all on my fingertips and nail polish on my fingers. My friend and I both were unhappy, the lady she had was very rude, neither of them did nail prep and didn’t use sanitized anything. The lady I had cut my cuticles so bad that my fingers are bleeding, my thumb nails are two different sizes (we both got a full set acrylic), the shape job is terrible, she left me with acrylic all on my fingertips and nail polish on my fingers. The polish job is horrible as well.

My experience was interesting, this is gonna be a long one so buckle up… When I walked in, there were 20 kids speaking another language. NO CAP. Now, I love children but this was ridiculous. One of the little kids pushed me out of the way when I was picking a color, and another was sitting right in the middle of the freaking salon. We noticed it looked busy, however, they agreed to do our nails, this was a mistake. I only wanted a gel manicure. I have gotten MANY gel manicures in my life, but I have NEVER gotten one that has only lasted 15 minutes… I didn’t ask her for anything unusual or complicated, I simply asked her to make my nails square with rounded edges. I also asked her to TRIM them, not butcher them. I was surprised she had any nail left to paint after cutting them so short. My nails were so short that the rest of my manicure hurt. Also, she was not gentle AT ALL: she dug under my nonexistent nails with tools and she trimmed my cuticles until they hurt. Now listen, this has never happened to me in any gel manicure in my life. EVER!! She was extremely rude throughout the whole manicure. She didn’t say one word to me and didn’t ask me if I liked anything. She only cared about getting paid at the end. Never going back and I’m spreading the word. I’m not familiar with Johnston but I know that any other nail salon is better than this. There are other nail salons like ten feet away, don’t waste your time in this one. I could’ve done a better job myself.

Worse nails I ever got! If I could put no stars I would.I got acrylics and changed the color to a red gel polish, not even a week later it came off. It obviously WAS NOT gel, and they charged me for gel and DIDN’T even give me my money back cuz they wrongly charged me.

I had to settle for a manicure from a kind lady named Anne who did great job of cleaning up my cuticles…not so good at polishing (too thick, didnt dry properly). Her owner/mgr tried to force me to get gel..which i did not want….by telling me that acrylic overlay on super short nails costs as much as a full set($28)! We know thats nonsense! So…i got a decent mani for $13. Get a mani ladies! Thanks Anne

Sent my daughter to get her nails done, and they put nail tips that were too small. They offered to take them off, and no charge, but then my daughter wouldn’t be able to get another set right away. Her original nails were already short, and removing the acrylics, would thin them out. This was a 1st, and last.
