Little hidden neighborhood salon. Small but offers various services, hair (extensions), nails, make-up, etc. Very entertaining. The ladies on the staff are very different from introverts to extroverts but what they have in common is voicing their conflicting views from love, politics to the latest trends. Lol! Yet at the end of the day no one has pulled their hair out! Arrive prepared. CASH only.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI have been looking a good Dominican Salon for a long time since I live too far from the one I went to for the past 12 years. After searching and reading all reviews I wanted to give this one a try. I have to say I am that person that mainly reads the negative reviews and depending on what the reviewer says I won’t even bother… i was in desperate need of a keratin treatment so I wanted to find the perfect one to handle the task. I was a little nervous to go here after reading the negative reviews but after contacting the owner to schedule and how pleasant she seemed I said what the heck. The owner Maggie scheduled me for the next day and answered all my questions about products she will use for my appointment, she never sounded bothered nor did she rushed me off the phone. The next day we traveled an hour to get to the salon (well worth the trip) for our hair appointment and my 7 year old daughter decided she wanted her hair done with purple hair ‍♀️. From the moment we walked in Maggie and Chavela were so nice and accommodating with the two of us. Chavela worked on my daughter’s hair (purple tips and styled)and was so sweet and gentle with her. Maggie did my hair (keratin treatment and styled). They used amazing Italian products on our hairs and her prices were good. We went in there looking like a hot mess and came out looking like royalty. I have natural Dominican hair that i let get dry and out of control since the quarantine. I was afraid they were going to burn my hair (like previous reviewer said) since my hair needed the extra heat for Keratin but nope, my hair is so soft and smell so good. They made us feel so comfortable and were so personable. I also have to add that for the people that don’t speak spanish…when someone says “morena” it does translate to dark skinned woman but the terminology is used just as if someone said “hey beautiful” or “sweetie” and not as a stereotype or in a derogatory or to discriminate. I am dark skinned and I actually like it when people call me morena or morenita. Anyways, I LOVED this place, my daughter isnin love with her purple tips, I love my hair and cannot wait to come back. Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueWorst experience ever and on top of that I paid $60 for a blowout that I waited 3 hours for. I came from out of town and needed my hair done. I called to make an appointment, but still I sat three hours without even being acknowledged. They were upset that they had to do my hair and were talking about me in Spanish. Why schedule me for an appointment if you can’t see me?Worst experience ever and on top of that I paid $60 for a blowout that I waited 3 hours for. I came from out of town and needed my hair done.
