Staff changes and attrition have left a core staff that I’m not really happy with. For example stylist Elle pulled my hair, and was totally unsympathetic and didn’t apologize. Another stylist put the wrong number highlighter on me and then made fun of me and said ” but this is what you wanted!” when I said I didn’t like it. She agreed to put toner back in and I apologized and said I appreciated her being patient with me because she had already done a blow out, which I realize meant more work. Staff members rolled up their eyes, smirked and giggled as if I couldn’t see the facial expressions they were making. The cashier charged me 150 dollars and literally said “well thanks for spending the day with us.” I was there from 1 to 4pm. I went back to give my stylist the tip and the older woman mockingly said ” I liked your hair blonder…but…don’t change it back!!” I was already nervous because I had a date that evening and it didn’t help my confidence to be the butt of their jokes, though I laughed right along. I’ve been going there years but I’m really not comfortable going there anymore after the last couple of visits. I see other clientele being made fun of. Maybe the staff is just bored of doing same thing day in day out and they are starting to act out their pent up aggressions passively. Maybe they need a change of scenery because their attitude to the clientele kind if sucks. I guess I’ll just have to find another place where my pathetic beauty needs are not ridiculed.

Mafe is the BEST!!! I’ve been a client for a few years now. I began going there when my hair hit chemically damaged. I was so upset. Jeannie gave me extensions and I felt so much better while my hair grew out again. The salon is BEAUTIFUL and everyone is so friendly. I feel so warm and welcomed every time I get my hair done and the work they do is amazing!

Have been going to Mary at Mafé for 15+ years. Wonderful establishment! I have very fine, thin hair but Mary cuts and colors it to perfection. I get compliments often and am happy to recommend her.
