Critical: ProfessionalismI will never go back there! First, I know when a colorist or stylist touches my hair, and from there, I know how my experience will be. I have long and thick hair! However, my hair is straight and easy to work with if the professional is a professional.Huge mistake trying to try Madison Reed! The first thing my colorist said to me was, ” You have very thick hair and super long. And the cost would be $120 for roots and glaze” The price is excellent as I have paid the same amount at my favorite salon I go for the past 15 years.Then, she said, ” Because of my hair length and thick, she will have the assistant help apply the glaze because they had a full schedule ” I have never done a glaze the same way as you color your entire hair. I always glazed after the shampoo at the sink and left for 10 minutes, so I decided not to get the glaze. Then again, she said, “I already mixed the glaze, so I have to charge you.”The lady who did my hair color seemed and gave the impression and energy that she hates her job. Not friendly at all!The assistant was amiable and professional! It would be best if you guys considered giving her a better position.Leaving the salon, I thanked the colorist, and she ignored me. Very rude!I always tip between 20-25%, but I left 10% because I didn’t think it was fair with the assistant who washed my hair.Services: Hair coloring, Gloss or GlazeI will never go back there! I will never go back there! First, I know when a colorist or stylist touches my hair, and from there, I know how my experience will be. I have long and thick hair! However, my hair is straight and easy to work with if the professional is a professional.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityI started off LOVING this place. Clean and pleasant.Last week I went to get my usual hair color. The person who helped me – no idea the name as she didn’t introduce herself and no name tags – used sections of my hair and pulled my hair to move my head as she wanted vs asking me or gently tilting my head.That isn’t the worst of it.After she coated my hair with root color and a gloss, she disappeared. I was busy catching up on work reading and didn’t notice the time pass. I looked at the time and it had been 20 extra mins of processing for a total of 1hr and 5 minutes – at the very least. Maybe more. I couldn’t find my colorist and asked the person at the front desk to double check my time. She immediately rushed me off and rinsed my hair. Never saw the colorist again.My hair is almost jet black at the roots. Not the medium brown it is supposed to be. My scalp is irritated from having the color on for so long.After calling and emailing Madison Reed, they have provided zero help. They canceled my subscription and haven’t offered to try to fix it or pay to fix it. While they did refund me about $200, it is going to cost me closer to $550 to do a color correction.I get mistakes happen. But good customer service tries to resolve them vs run away from them. Critical: ProfessionalismAvoid this place at all costs. The novelty of this business is not worth enduring the manager’s bad attitude and blatant discrimination against customers. After being ignored when I initially came in, I sat in an empty salon chair since the waiting area was full. The manager approached me in a rage and said I couldn’t sit there and that she would have to clean it again. After some back and forth, I let it go. Even the other customers were baffled with her attitude.When I came back during my next appointment, she tried charging me extra for the same service. I’ve been going here for months, why start charging me more now? Her excuse was obviously made up (that I have a lot of hair) and I canceled my membership. After she arrived to the appointment she was told that they didn’t have the product necessary to match the blonde roots. Which is fine however we should’ve been told that before booking an appointment. The hair dresser that assisted was rude and unprofessional with an attitude.
