OMG I went to Madison Reed in Corte Madera on Monday November 7 2022 to have my hair colored. Biggest mistake. First of all the color I was interested in was not the color I got. The dye was supposed to b left in for 35 minutes and up it was left in for well over an hour while my colorist colored someone else’s hair. The shampoo was awful because of her long fingernails. Last but not least the color was completely different from what I anticipated. I asked for blonde and I got light brown.

Came home and all my gray hair are still shiny white. And I was specific that I need gray coverage as I haven’t colored my hair for over a year and it’s been getting gray and visible… I’d expect for $140 dollars my hair would be even color!

This was my second attempt at purchasing color products from this store and I will never return. Both times I was treated with utter rudeness and disrespect for my time and custom. The first time I waited 10 minutes while 2 store associates stood at the back of the room chatting. This time I was told that there were only 2 associates on the floor (actually there were 3) and that I would be helped as soon as they finished applying color. A full 25 minutes later, after watching all 3 associates moving from hair client to hair client, applying color, washing hair, blowdrying…as if I was invisible at the counter, one of the associates came over to collect payment from a client and finally helped me with my purchase.The one who had rudely told me to wait until she was free did n oy even look in my direction other than to tell me they are busy. All I needed to be told (2 days before Christmas) was to come back in 10, 15, 30, however many minutes they needed. Instead I was left there like a fool for 30 mins by the end, expecting just one of them to complete my purchase. If I did not really like and need the product, I would have left. Instead I am leaving this honest account and advising never to use that salon. They are understaffed (not their fault, of course) but also disdainfully rude. I was nothing but polite and respectful both times. They don’t deserve the business.

The grey got to be too much though so after reading up on Madison Reed I decided to give it a go. Boy am I glad I did! I went for roots and balayage (Light works). It was a long process but in the end I felt beautiful!
