She was knowledgeable in consulting about the color to use to cover the gray, & to blend in with my existing brown/ highlighted hair color. I had my first visit at Madison Reed & had hair color/roots done in store by Kyra who did a fantastic job. She was knowledgeable in consulting about the color to use to cover the gray, & to blend in with my existing brown/ highlighted hair color. She was patient with my questions & very professional in answering them. I was very pleased with the results, and friends have told me how great the added color evened out the brassiness in my hair.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI came to the salon on 10/30 for root touchup and a gloss. I specially told the colorist that I did not want a cool or ashy tone applied to my balayage. Unfortunately he did not listen. The gloss he applied turned my hair a greenish grey color. They tried to correct the tone by applying another gloss with a warmer undertone. This did help a little but once I shampooed my hair, the green color was very noticeable. I came to the salon on 10/30 for root touchup and a gloss. I specially told the colorist that I did not want a cool or ashy tone applied to my balayage. Unfortunately he did not listen. The gloss he applied turned my hair a greenish grey color. They tried to correct the tone by applying another gloss with a warmer undertone. This did help a little but once I shampooed my hair, the green color was very noticeable. Total waste of money and now I will have to spend $$$ on a color correction at a proper salon.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityApparently there are several colors to choose from, I was offered 2 because the person coloring my hair told me these were the only ones that would work to cover grays. I should have left at that point. I don’t know his name because he never introduced himself. He left the color on and never came back until someone at the front desk realized I was long overdue. Washing my hair was a nightmare. He was extremely rough and there was hair color all over my face which he tugged at with an alcohol solution that had was so harsh my eyes were tearing and I asked him to stop. I went to dry my hair and clumps were coming out. I have been getting my hair colored for decades and this has never happened.I told the woman at the front desk I didn’t like the color and she didn’t want to hear it, her goal was to get me out the door. I went in with healthy brown hair and came out with damaged, flat almost black hair. 2 days later and it is still looking awful.
