Positive: ProfessionalismMy daughter and I have used this salon since their opening day and I will never use another salon. The staff is extremely friendly and listened to what I wanted and what my daughter wanted. They have dyed my daughters hair on numerous occasions and have always ensured that is what she wanted and if I approve. They also provided helpful recomendations when in doubt. We have been fortunate to have Madison as our hairstylist on numerous occasions and she has never guided us wrong. Very professional employees and clean shop. My daughter and I have used this salon since their opening day and I will never use another salon. The staff is extremely friendly and listened to what I wanted and what my daughter wanted. They have dyed my daughters hair on numerous occasions and have always ensured that is what she wanted and if I approve. They also provided helpful recomendations when in doubt. I have been to several of the girls for my highlights and haircuts and they never disappoint! Everything is sanitized and clean which makes me feel very comfortable. I have been to several of the girls for my highlights and haircuts and they never disappoint! Everything is sanitized and clean which makes me feel very comfortable. I have a good bit of gray hair at my roots. In the past when I’ve had my hair colored within a few days the gray is already shining back through. I had a friend suggest Madison Avenue. I explained to the owner my frustrations with previous color done at other salons. She was very professional, listened to my concerns and wants & assured me that I had came to the right place.They knew exactly what they needed to do for my hair to hold the color. I went to a different salon (~big mistake), telling them I wanted my hair to look “natural”. I ended up walking out with my roots even darker than before with an added auburn gradient into my bleached blonde (aka, not natural). I came to Madison Ave to fix it and they did an AMAZING job! I seriously wish I could post pictures of it! They matched the colors of the blonde and of my roots spot on for high and low lights so it truly does look natural now. I no longer look like I did an at home botched bleach job. Everyone there was super friendly and the customers were as well. You can tell they put *a lot* into making their salon welcoming and overall the best they can be – they go above and beyond that mark. They listen and work with you, they’re transparent about what you need and what you don’t. Overall, it is a great place and I would absolutely recommend this shop to all my friends! A few months ago I double bleached my hair to remove some fashion colors. Since then, my natural dirty blonde roots have grown out. I went to a different salon (~big mistake), telling them I wanted my hair to look “natural”. Critical: Professionalism, QualityThis is probably one of the worst hair salons. The employees are very unprofessional and don’t listen to the customer at all. Their most experienced hairdresser burnt my whole head and I am in tremendous pain. They couldn’t do a simple bleaching and did highlights to the middle of my head when I asked for under-dye at the bottom of my head. They are pricey yet can’t follow directions. I don’t even know how they got their license. They said it’s not their problem that my whole head was burnt when it clearly was. This is probably one of the worst hair salons. The employees are very unprofessional and don’t listen to the customer at all. Their most experienced hairdresser burnt my whole head and I am in tremendous pain. They couldn’t do a simple bleaching and did highlights to the middle of my head when I asked for under-dye at the bottom of my head. They are pricey yet can’t follow directions.
