Thank you for an amazing experience. As soon as I walked in someone greeted me and escorted me to the woman who washed my hair. She took her time massaging and washing my hair which I appreciated. The stylist Ming did exactly what I asked for and remained professional throughout the whole process. I inquired if they also cut kids hair and they responded yes. Beautiful new salon in the Annandale neighborhood. A friend recommended the salon after her positive review. Thank you for an amazing experience. As soon as I walked in someone greeted me and escorted me to the woman who washed my hair. She took her time massaging and washing my hair which I appreciated. The stylist Ming did exactly what I asked for and remained professional throughout the whole process. I inquired if they also cut kids hair and they responded yes. Critical: QualityI called ahead to see if they could do a single french braid, and they told me they could over the phone and that it would cost $8. When I arrived less than an hour later, they were confused about my request for a french braid, requested example photos, and told me the price would now be $20. Because I had already driven there I reluctantly agreed to the last minute price change. The hair dresser applied a product to my hair that made it knottier, and struggled to braid and even separate my hair. After 3 failed attempts, another hair dresser took over and attempted to salvage my hair. The initial products applied to my hair made it very tacky and almost unbrushable.. I stayed in an attempt to “trust the process”.. after over an hour of attempting to braid my hair I was left with a frizzy, knotty mess. I quickly left and cried in my car LOL, I had somewhere to go immediately after and had to go elsewhere to have it fixed. I would have rather been told they couldn’t braid from the start than having wasted over $20 and over 75 minutes.
