Positive: ValueI was referred to MK Braiding by two close friends who assured me of MK’s abilities. I’m always reluctant trying new hair stylists/braid salons and this was no different, but prepping for vacation I was desperate to get my hair braided. I asked my friend to call and schedule the appointment (worried if the owner heard a new voice it would be harder to get a last minute appointment). She said I could come on the day and time I requested. While I was happy I was also concerned she might be just taking all appointments and that meant I would be there all day and night waiting to get done as I was positive she was overbooking. Well…….to my surprise……I show up for my appointment, MK is literally finishing up another customer AND I WAS NEXT. MK immediately greeted me and asked what I wanted done. MK consulted with me, gave me some suggestions, but made sure it was my decision to get what I wanted. While finishing up, MK suggested I go and purchase the hair …which is conveniently located across the street at Mimi’s. SURPRISE…SURPRISE I get there and was greeted by the sweetest young lady with the most beautiful Jamaican accent. She was warm and inviting and so friendly. For the 3 minutes I was there, I felt like I made a friend. By the time I returned to the braid shop, MK was ready for me…..she said you can sit in the chair and she went to work. MK has the softest touch! While my braids definitely feel secure THEY ARE IN NO WAY TOO TIGHT! We talked, we laughed (MK is funny y’all), we shared stories, looked at each other’s pictures……lucky me I was making yet another friend. Then if the experIence couldn’t get any better, this beautiful young lady comes over to help finish up with the long braids MK had started, and lo and behold it was MK’s daughter who is just as warm, friendly, smart, funny, and beautiful as her mom. As you can tell by this post, I give MK 5 stars, 10’s across the board. The entire experience was a joy and my braids look amazing! Thanks MK BRAIDING….I will be a customer for as long as you’ll have me.
