I went in to get a sew in with an ear-to-ear lace frontal. Once Minchta was complete, it was clear that she didn’t know what she had been doing. My hair looked horrendous.The purpose of the expensive closure I purchased is to make the hair look natural and able to part in any direction. With the way she installed my hair, that wasn’t possible. I called back and stated that I was unsatisfied with how it looked. Minchta agreed to fix it. I went back and she took it out and “fixed it”, then took it out AGAIN and “fixed it” in that same time period. She CLEARLY didn’t know what she was doing! Instead of saying that she didn’t know how to properly install the sew-in, I spent about $150 on hair that she destroyed and paid her $160 for her services. Here are some images of the sew in after it was “fixed”.

After two to three weeks of the sew in and now I have to go to someone else to redo the weave I had done here at Mintcha braiding house, the braiding for the weave was thick and bulky and bumpy. The closure was creased and not smooth to the head and the string that was used was like regular sewing string. The parts were very far apart and she never put a cap on to at least help it stay smooth . Not to mention the closure was on upside down because you could see the patch to the closure was on the top of my hair as seen in the original pics. I Paid $160 here and now have to pay $180 to SOMEONE ELSE to redo it .I’m sharing more pics because I’m pist that I have to come out of pocket AGAIN I work hard for my money and $160 is a lot of money. Mintchas braiding house stylist that did my hair usually would stop to take pics of the other customers hair, I should of known mine was bad because they did not take a picture of mine.A little tip,In the future if you don’t know how to do something just say so and not take people’s very hard earned money .

Critical: Quality, ValueI was referred by a friend to come here. I thought from the texts the owner would be doing my hair but that wasn’t the case. Her sister ended up doing my hair which she was nice but I wasn’t pleased because I never had twist to come out looking as nappy and dry as it did. I guess with the hair she told me to get which I never tried before had something to do with it but I wasn’t satisfied at all and to be told it was cute by the owner was just crazy after I kept telling her I didn’t like it. If I am the customer and I am not satisfied then either try to accommodate fixing it over or giving a refund but instead she just ignored my request for that! Her sister ended up doing my hair which she was nice but I wasn’t pleased because I never had twist to come out looking as nappy and dry as it did. I was very pleased with the fast service and the style however after 1 week my braids starting slipping out. I went back by the shop and they fix some of the loose braids. The stylist also told me to come back for a touch-up…..AFTER A MONTH. I have had braids many times and NEVER had to get my hair touched up and they last at least 3 months and I still received compliments. I called about the touch-up and was told that it would cost $80. That is absolutely ridiculous. Let alone I paid $180 originally and purchased 4 packs of my own hair.

We have used them several times. I have twins, so it’s nice to get all of our hair done, simultaneously, and not be in a salon all day. We are generally out within 5 hours for box braids. Mintcha is professional and accommodating.

I was looking online and found this store and decided to give them a shot. I haven’t had my hair braided in years and It was my first time going to a braid shop so I wasn’t sure what to expect. They were very kind and courteous to me during the braiding. They made sure that I was comfortable which I greatly APPRECIATED. I will definitely be going back in a couple of months. I would recommend this shop to anyone! Really PROFESSIONALl and QUALITY work. Thank you 🙂

I liked the fast service. They were polite to me. I did not like the fact the when she divided the hair she stepped on it to divide it. I felt I paid too much for the style that I recieved. I only was able to wear the twist for a month and the back wasn’t secure and fell out. I also didn’t like that the twist were not full. Also I paid with a card and had to wait for the owner to come in order to leave. That was an inconvenience.
