The man in chair one was very nice.they had a stand for my phone so I could watch videos while he did my nails. I kept messing them up and he would fix them every time. and he asked me multiple times where they the right shape are they still good is that good. I felt like I was in full control of if I did not like something it would be fixed. it is the next day I have not had a broken nail. i slammed my nail in the fridge. I would really recommend this place.

So I got my nails done on Thursday 21-10-14 no appointment walk-in. There was a wait which is to be expected. I was seated in several different stations before I actually getting serviced at table 2. I showed the tech a picture of what I wanted. I took her a min but she understood the task and went to work. I wanted a fill in ( I grew my nails out so I just get fill ins and overlays with acrylic) and I had recently broken my index fingernails on both hands. This required a nail to be applied. No worries. I paid for my services and went on about life. 4 days later the two index fingers are broken again I have done nothing different outside my daily activities. I called the shop to make an appointment to get them fix the technician acted as if she had no time available. I asked when she could be available to fix she couldn’t give me a time I asked could I just show up and she suggested that I call before hand. I have never had this type of service from a shop. I have been to this location before and really like the services they provide. Update: I have broken yet another nail in under a weeks time. I have never paid over 60+ dollars to have such poor work I will not be returning to this location.

As soon as I walked in the door of Lux Nails in Fultondale, I was greeted with kindness. That’s pretty standard when you walk into a nail salon, what’s not normal is the kindness and conversation from the nail techs. All of them were delightful and helpful. Brian, my nail tech, took very good care of me. He knew exactly what I needed with my pedicure and manicure. I trusted him to give me a nail design on my fingernails I’d be happy with and he did not disappoint. I will return to this business and will ask for Brian. He’s the man!!

Do not go to this nail salon! I promise it is not worth your time or your hard earned money. The employees are nice but the work is subpar. I recently received a basic pedi w/gel that ended up costing $49! For one, after leaving the salon I proceeded to go shopping for the day. I looked down and I found that the nail tech did not polish my pinky toe on my left foot. Then, 4 days later the “gel” polish came off again on my pinky toe and the toe near the pinky one. Fast forward to a week in half the polish is lifting up on my big toe and has come off on another toe. I just end up taking the polish off and going to another nail salon to experience much better results for cheaper.

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI do not recommend this nail salon for a few reasons. Before today, I had been to this salon three times and I did enjoy my experience so I came back. But this morning, I tried calling to schedule an appointment for later in the day and they just told me to come in right then and hung up. I was working until then so obviously I couldn’t just drop what I was doing and come in. So, I waited to go in until the time that I could actually make. I get inside and I said I wanted my eyebrows waxed. They told me to go sit in the back before I could even ask how long the service would take (even though I tried calling in for an appointment for that time and was hung up on earlier). I sat in the chair in the back for 15 minutes. If I had known it would take more than 15 minutes, I would have gone to the nicer salon down the strip from their salon. This is where I really got upset… I looked behind me to see if anyone was available to assist me and get an estimate for how long my wait would be. When one of the workers saw me turn around, she said “it’ll only be a few minutes.” I said “okay, thanks.” Then she turns to the two ladies she is working on and says “somebody needs a nap.” And starts laughing. I did not even entertain that comment. When I went to checkout, I tried to hand her my stamp card for their salon and she looked at it and handed it back.
