This is my second visit to Ellen at this salon and the haircut was fine. I do have some comments related to the experience, though. I was on time for my appointment and when I walked into the salon Ellen was lying on the sofa using her phone and told me she had to finished an Instagram video first, so I waited while she did that. I wasn’t invited to sit down, offered a beverage or anything, just left standing there waiting for her while she finished her personal stuff. Then I waited while she went outside and got a puppy, then went back out again to help the other stylist with another big dog, then they were both in the back room doing something else. This was my appointment time, and truthfully when I was left standing there like that, I almost left. Ellen doesn’t shampoo prior to doing the haircut but charges the same price. She doesn’t mute her phone and I heard back to back text message notifications almost the entire time I was there, just another added distraction. I tried to engage in conversation and was interrupted or ignored while she chatted with the other stylist about the deal she got on foils and other peripheral matters. I didn’t leave with a very good feeling at all. This salon is close to where I live, reasonably priced and very convenient, but I have mixed feelings about returning to Ellen. They do have one other stylist that I might try next time because I like the salon, just not the way I was treated. The haircut was 4.5 to 5 stars and I wanted to leave a better review, but couldn’t under the circumstances. I always thought that clients and customers came first, but I guess I was wrong.

I have been to this salon multiple times! I have always enjoyed my experience with Ellen and the other stylist. I love that dogs are welcome and that the owner brings Bosco his great Dane in as well. Josh did my 3yr old sons first haircut. And was so kind and patient with him. He can fix any bad haircut. I brought my oldest son in to fix his hair and he worked his magic.
