Luxe Hair Studio was founded in 2014 in Hanover County, Virginia. In that time, Luxe has grown from a tiny 100 square foot studio, to a 6 station, storefront salon in the heart of Mechanicsville. We specialize in effortless color, meaning we provide options to keep your maintenance low, and the integrity of your hair high. We have made it our mission to help grow new stylists into talented professionals and developed an educational program in order to accomplish this. Luxe delivers a unique and customized experience to each and every guest, and takes pride in every creation. We have developed a culture that we hope our community is excited to be a part of!

Made a haircut appointment for today 10/19 and was so excited to try this place as I’m in search of a salon in Mechanicsville. I was on the way to my appointment and stopped at Chick-fil-A off Mechanicsville turnpike for an iced coffee before my visit. As I was there my engine started smoking and oil was leaking from my car. My power steering also went out. I had no way of getting to my 10am appointment however as I was trying to find towing and Uber arrangements I still was decent enough to call and explain my current situation (as my car was emergently beeping in the background of the phone while speaking to Madison!). They still asked me to pay a “no show fee”. I own a tanning salon in Chester and I fully respect their policy however, in these unexpected and complex situations I feel the client should be treated a little better. I was more than willing to reschedule for a different date. Below is a video of how much oil came from my car! Kind of ridiculous.. disappointing service.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI have wavy/curly hair and I thought some of the stylists I’d seen before had cut it well. That was until Natalie cut my hair. I was referred to this salon, but first messaged them to ask if one of their stylists specialized in cutting curly hair. Natalie (owner/stylist) responded back to me promptly and told me to book with her as she loves curly-haired clients. The salon is clean and well maintained. Each woman that I’ve interacted with during one of my visits has been friendly, courteous, and pretty funny. But to the most important part… the haircut. This is THE BEST haircut I’ve had in my life. Natalie paid special attention to my wave/curl pattern, my wish to keep length and continue to grow my hair, and my daily styling routine (which is minimal). Once it starts warming up, I will be booking a balayage appointment as well. I give Natalie’s name (and Luxe’s) to anyone I can. Luxe is a gem to Mechanicsville!!! Brittany is my fav- she’s TRUE a hair artist! I have short hair and really rely on Brittany’s hair artistry and skill to give me the perfect cut. And she always does :)! All the staff are super kind and awesome. Their studio is really relaxing and tranquil. They even have aromatherapy in the salon that’s not overpowering but just the right level of tranquil and relaxing. They offer other services too- at great prices! You’ll leave feeling refreshed and like you truly did something good for yourself!
