I was asked to come into the spa 6 months ago to receive a free facial in exchange for posting on instagram. When I got to the spa it was super cute and the employees were very nice. The employee and I decided to do dermaplaning and I think a hydrating pumpkin facial? (The pumpkin facial was amazing btw). When doing the dermaplaning she asked me if I wanted to clean up my baby hairs and I said sure because they are pretty dense. Unfortunately she took a chunk out of my hairline, and it’s obvious it was a mistake because it’s literally a circle and not a line or anything. When she showed me in the mirror it looked AWFUL and I was so in shock that I tried to convince her and myself that I liked it and tipped $30 on top of the free service. I went in my car and immediately panicked about what I was going to do about the literal bald spot on my head. It was really obvious they messed up. 6 months later, i have had 2 different hairdressers trying to work out this situation. I now have these short, sharp hairs that stick straight up on the front of my hairline and have had to buy countless products to stick them down and hide them, and before they grew to this length I had to fill it in with eyeshadow. It seems like I’m going to be dealing with this for so long until the hairs fully grow in. This has created a new insecurity for me and I really wish I never went that day. But it was really cute in there with a great environment and I’m sure if I didn’t let them put a razor on my face everything would have gone fine.
