I had the pleasure of getting served by Lina this evening! I walked in on time and she was ready to assist me. I got a beautiful pedicure which she added some gems for free! I came for gel removal and they ended up removing the top layer of my nail beds too. From the photos you can see darker pink – that’s actually where the mechanical grinder digged into my nail bed (this actually hurt afterwards) and then the dark texture you see on the nail beds are grooves from where they pressed too hard with the grinder. I told them right after when I saw it that it was too much and they brushed it off as “normal”. That’s not true, when you get gel polish removed other nail salons gently scrape it off manually after soaking in acetone so as to protect your nail beds — I have never had someone use a mechanical grinder on the whole nail. It will take months for my nails to recover.

Lena and Jack are fantastic! I love that I can make an appointment during my lunch hour to get my nails done and when I get there I don’t it have to wait forever like other salons even though I made an appointment. They are courteous of your time and their own! The salon is always clean and relaxing to the point i’m usually ready for a nap when I leave, unfortunately for me I usually have to go back to work. But regardless it is a nice little getaway.
