I normally don’t get my nails done but I thought of doing something fun for my self for New Years Eve. Before I sat down I was informed of the price $30, I chose a color that had a notice of $10 extra, the tech told me again that it was extra for the color i chose, I confirm that I was aware, my nails where short so I ask for length, she added just a tip and said that would be extra, then she suggested a manicure, I agree. From $40 it went to $60, I paid with no hesitation and gave a ten dollar tip, not realizing how outrageously I was up-saled.By the way, now that I know what a manicure is, I did not received a complete one. I went to get my nails done at another location, having in mind my first experience I’d made sure I did not get a color that would be extra, I came out with a full set and full manicure that I did not ask for and paid the normal price $30 if you would’ve seen the nails I got done at this location, very very simple except the $10 extra color because I did not even get a full set just a tip to have a short length and the set I just got done there’s no difference except the price, the tech at this location obviously notice I had not done this before and took advantage, why would they do this, I am all about honesty and good service, I would not recommend this place at all. The walk-in only policy made for a very long wait, but it was well worth it. The environment is gorgeous and clean, bathroom is beautiful, the team works well together and communicates great. They don’t make you feel stupid or needy for wanting to fix imperfections, and on top of that the pricing is unbeatable. My only complaint aside from the wait time (I did go on the busiest day of the week) would be that there was a lot of acrylic residue left on my cuticles and fingertips that I didn’t notice until getting in the car. Just double check that everything is how you want it, take your time they will fix it. (Edit: the color in this photo is C9!)

Erica did my full set 2 weeks ago and Wendy did my fill today! Both of those girls were kind and efficient! Loved how both sets came out♡ Also, kudos to Wendy for giving me “brand new fingers” as my cuticles were horrid and grown out. She took her time and made them look so good! They are always professional, but also have fun sides to them.My family and I were introduced to Lux Nails and Spa two years ago while my Mom was visiting. Tyson and his team welcomed us in, giving us one of the best experiences we’ve ever had at a nail salon in the Treasure Valley. Earlier this year, every two weeks we’d make it a girl’s day and usually closed down the place on Sundays; Tyson and his team didn’t mind one bit. Now, my sister and I make it a two week ritual. Tyson, Ann, Jason, Len… they are always helpful, always fun to talk to, and so friendly. We’re always joking around with them, which makes the visit so delightful! Honestly I wouldnt go here again and would probably never recommend it. This was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve had. I came in and was told to pick my color it took me a minute it’s my 21st birthday and wanted something nice. I sit down with the lady who is obviously irritated (the guys seemed nice to everyone around me) the whole time she was just irritated and complained about everything I did. she told me not to watch her and watch the tv and asked if me and my boyfriend we were out drinking before we came in it was 11 am. None of my nails are the same shape the ends aren’t painted she just made me feel uncomfortable for asking for what I wanted I tried to be conciderate that maybe she was having a bad day I kept being nice and it was just rudeness back so I gave up I almost walked out I only stayed cause I had been in there for 1hr already. Just overall a very uncomfortable experience one of the worst I had ands the nails aren’t horrible but not the best it wouldn’t have been that bad if I felt comfortable…. Anything I did was wrong.

TERRIBLE!! i waited for an hour for this! they are so bad! and i paid $50 for nothing. the guy who did my nails kept cutting me with the tools, and never did my cuticles. He got up with his phone to get the mail, when he could’ve done that after. when he asked me if they looked okay i said “ yes” because i thought they weren’t done. when we were done i was horrified. spent $50 for trash.

This company is run by a local family. They always smile when they meet you, and they do a terrific job. They quickly scheduled me after I arrived. Both the personnel and the salon are exceptionally well-kept. They made my day! When I left 30 minutes later, my nails had been fixed and looked fantastic.

I frequently get my nails done here and I adore it. The staff is wonderful, and the nails are usually excellent and manage to last a good several weeks while still looking just as beautiful as they did when first done. They have every color imaginable, are always eager to try whatever pattern or style you might like, and always put you at ease and strike up a discussion! I recently went in for their new eyelash extensions, which they did an amazing job with; I still have them on after three weeks and I’m obsessed. I can’t speak highly enough of Lux Nails – Spa.
