I wasn’t originally going to leave a review after my last experience at the salon but this morning I checked my account and not only did I have a horrible experience, but I was charged twice for my service. Saturday morning my sisters and I walked into lux without an appointment. I went for a pedicure and both my sisters for dip manicures. The women who did my pedicure was extremely rough and has resulted in me having an infection days later. My sister asked for the nail extensions for her manicure and the women doing her nails refused to do them. She then burned my sister with the filing tool which immediately started to bleed. My other sister sat and waited over an hour just to be seated. Other people without appointments came in and were seated and treated before her. When she was finally seated the women who did her nailed was extremely rude and it was clear she was trying to scam my sister. We are regulars at this salon and my sister asked for the exact manicure she had two weeks prior. She continued to tell my sister it was going to be $90- $50 more than she payed for this manicure previously. She also cut my sister so badly that she bled so much she had to restart the nail completely because the blood saturated the nail. She then rushed her service and tried to overcharge us when I went to pay for her service. I’ve been coming to Lux for years but my last few appointments have proven the salon is no longer for me.

I went to the salon on a Monday afternoon so it was pretty calm. My sisters and I were attended quickly. They handed us sample books and a complimentary beverage. As the tech was working, she jerked my hands around and even burned me a couple of times explaining that it was because my nails were sensitive. She painted the first nail and I quickly told her that I had requested a different color. She removed Color #1 and continued to paint my nails Color #2. I was precautious and asked her if THIS was the correct color. The nail tech insisted the color would look different when she was done. When she finished, I was a little confused because my nails were still a different color from what I had requested. The tech left very quickly after she was done with my nails so I went up to the cashier/ manager and asked if they could change the color. She told me that nothing was wrong with my nails and that the color looked very nice. I proceeded to show her the sample books that had the correct color. She admitted the color was different and offered to do them another color but that in this case she made no guarantees that my nails would end up the correct color(#285). I was appalled that they knowingly offer options with a promise to deliver the correct color and style. If she had explained to me prior to the service that chrome nails are difficult to achieve an accurate color, I would have understood but that is not the case with chrome nails at all.

Asoon as she started she shaved off too much of my real nail till I felt burning, and she continued till she made my cuticles bleed. While my friend was next to me receiving fine service from a man. Love this nail salon. It’s VERY clean and welcoming. Anyone who’s done my nails there has done an amazing job, but Lynn is my favorite hands down. She does my nails and eyebrows perfectly every time and she’s very nice. I don’t care how far I live I’ll always go here to get my nails done.

Very Nice and professional people. The whole place is extremely clean, and organized. They have a wide selections of colors. (Regular polish,Gel, Dip, Acrylic powders). I highly recommend coming here for a pamper day! Ask for Yen!

I was immediately greeted, assisted, seated. I sat for a few mins but good things come with patience (5 mins max) salon was clean and the techs were professional and just a great experience. I will be returning and recommend this place.
