This is the 2nd time I’ve gotten my nails done with Dave. I’ve gotten acrylics done quite a few times in my life, but they have never been as good as Dave’s work. This is what I got done yesterday and he did an amazing job. I feel that he’s honest and really cares about your experience there. He definitely wants to make sure you leave happy. This is the first time I’ve had a manicure in a long while. I was excited to have dipped nails once again. My issue isn’t that they did a bad job. They didn’t. My nails look nice. However, what I had was a “nail polish”, not a manicure. I expect my nails to be soaked and cleaned, cuticles pushed back and trimmed…..then have them polished. These steps should automatically come with any manicure. You don’t just sit down and start the dipping process with no prep. There was no follow up with lotion and massage. What they did is NOT a manicure. Perhaps people around here think it is but it’s not. If the steps are not followed to make your experience pleasant and relaxing it doesn’t meet the requirements of what a manicure should be. If they charged $50 that would be appropriate for the true experience. My nails look good but the cuticle is rough and has not been attended to. So please, Lux Salon, think about upping your game on this. Don’t call gel or dipping a “manicure” if you’re just putting on polish. It’s unfair to your customers and Rexburg needs to understand. You don’t do a gel pedicure in this way. All the steps are followed. So, frankly, it’s disappointing.

I absolutely LOVE it here! I have used a couple other places in a pinch and have regretted it every time! They’re all so kind there but Mai does my nails and they are perfect! They’re sleek, not thick and bulky and beautiful and she’s so nice and friendly. You won’t regret coming here. Such a friendly place and so quick. I have nothing but good to say! Best part about it is that it is cheap. They do a decent job and thats why I am always going. Warning, you wait forever! Even if you make an appointment you usually are waiting 30min to an hour before the seat you. Everytime I go have waited 45min to an hour before they started my nails. Just make sure you go when you have lots of time. They are good though about fixing your nails if you don’t like them. Be honest and they will happily fix it for you. Do it before they cure it with the blue light.

They are the sweetest! They honestly try to do the best they can! Such a good salon! I’ve had horrible experiences at other places in rexburg but these guys are amazing!! Book an appointment is BEST! They are busy because they are actually good! They are thorough too! If something isn’t 100% what you like then let them know! So so glad to have them in town! 3 1/2 weeks grow out and my fill no issues with anything!! ☺️

I hate leaving bad reviews but I’ve come three times now and won’t be back. It’s the same every time. Wait forever even with an appointment, then a rushed job. They never shape them right (this time I came in having shaped them how I wanted and told the lady I didn’t want them shaped and she still shaped them messed them up. Along with a bad brush job. It’s all over my cuticles so they will peel up in just a couple of days. This last time was the weirdest thing. She would do two nails at a time. Some got two coats while others got three. They were barely in the uv lamp at a time because of it. Also she had an oozing cut on her thumb that kept touching me and it grossed me out so bad.
