I just went today to have my hair dyed black and trimmed and they did an absolute best job!!! I had Claire do my hair and she was so nice and sweet and made sure that my hair looked its best once she was done. Right when I stepped in, Holly and another kind gentleman greeted me so sweetly and offered me coffee, tea, or water. They were so hospitable and made sure that I was taken care of by asking how I was and if I needed any drink refreshments once I was almost done with my drink. Definitely recommend this place! They also have very great prices for the high quality hair services offered!

I have been going to Luna Hair Studio for over 2 years now and have had a wonderful experience each and every time. Both Rachel and Kelsey have cut, colored, and highlighted my hair and the results have been excellent! It is a relaxing environment and the employees are always professional and friendly. To say my hair has been a challenge to me for most of my life would be an understatement. I have very curly, very thick, now turning grey, hair. It was to the point that I considered pulling a Britney (Spears, as in shaving it off), when my teenage daughter recommended that I try getting it styled by Meg at Luna Hair Studio and Spa. I walked in with pages of short, colored hairstyles that I thought might work. Before we did anything, Meg sat me down and talked about why I didn’t like my hair right now and why I thought cutting it all off might work for me. She suggested that I consider something totally different. She explained why my ideas would not make me happy and what might make me call a truce with my tresses.

I went to Luna for hightlights and a trim. During my visit, I found the overall salon to have a lack of professionalism. The girl at the front desk seemed more interested in her friend sitting at the desk than the two new customers that walked in for their services. During my hair treatment, I could hear conversations between staff members that weren’t necessarily negative, but definitely not professional. The cleanliness of the salon was also worrisome. My hair stylist told me it was a slow day, and even chairs that weren’t being used that day still had hair on the ground underneath them. Everywhere I looked there was hair. On a slow day, isn’t it easier to get caught up on the cleaning?? I do have to say that I absolutely LOVE how Chelsee did my hair. I enjoyed her services, and I think she did a great job. She took the time to really listen to what I wanted and I am very happy with the results. I will go back to Luna, but I hope they can get their act together with the cleaning and professional tact and conversation. It’s great to see the small local business succeed, but if they did just a little bit more, they could really shine.

I debated a long time as to whether or not I was going to write what I hoped would be a constructive review of Luna Hair Studio. First of all, I have been a long time customer. I had been going there for over 4 years and have seen 3 different stylists. The first time I had to switch was because my haircut was basically botched for which the first stylist apologized and re-funded my money. Unfortunately, it took over 6 months to grow out. I then switched to another stylist still within the same salon, which was fine until she changed her schedule to only working one Saturday a month. So, I again had to switch stylists due to her schedule. On the one Saturday I was there with my new stylist she my previous stylist acted as if I was “cheating on her.” She kept eyeing me and seemed upset when she saw me with the other stylist – not professional or mature behavior if you ask me.. Following that with my latest stylist, I had seen for awhile and had in general done a good job however over time I noticed she kept lightening my hair until it was blonde. At that point it was tolerable until my last color and cut. I asked her to return to my natural color, which is a nice dark brown. I wound up with black hair which had no highlights left and or any variation, it was flat black. She also left hair dye on the side of my face, which I didn’t notice until I got home. When I called to ask how to remove the hair dye that was on my face, I was told to “just put some nail polish remover on it and it will come out.” This conversation was had not with my stylist, although I had called to speak to her directly, left a message asking her to call me. This conversation occurred over a week after I had acquired hair dye on the side of my face. When I finally spoke to my stylist, she didn’t apologize or offer to refund any of my money, she just said “I thought I got all of the hair dye off.” When I indicated I was disappointed with the fact that I had to keep calling to speak with her and she didn’t return my call, she had no response to that. She indicated I could come back in and she would “fix my color” I did make an appointment that I wound up later cancelling as I felt there was no apology and no real customer service given my concerns and I could not trust her to color my hair with the color I asked for. I ultimately found another stylist at a different salon who is AWESOME. She re-scheduled an appointment and came in on one of her days off to fix my color and then to my dismay indicated that my former stylist had also gave me a bad haircut as she basically had “created a shelf” on the upper back part of my hair that the only way to remedy was to blend it and to let it grow out. Needless to say I will NEVER go back to Luna. And to any customer thinking about it, I would think again.

Great Salon. The clean, roomy, modern space has lots of light and an extremely comfortable feel. I have been to many salons but their dedication to detail will keep me coming back. My hair stylist Randall has a long resume of experience, and it shows. He has many different styling techniques to make sure you leave extremely happy. He has vast knowledge of the industry bc besides this being his job, it is his passion. He has a scientific backing for whatever reasoning and advice he offers. Never getting my hair styled by anyone else.

I have never gotten a bad haircut here. From the time you walk in to the time you walk out, everyone you speak to seems genuinely happy to be working there. The salon is clean and beautiful, the prices are reasonable. Even though I’ve moved around Colorado a lot, I keep coming back here.
