I’ve previously worked with Paige and had great results. This occasion, I had Lauren give me a cut and partial highlight. Lauren is nice, but took no time to ask me what I wanted to do. I asked for a partial highlight (hoping to blend with my previously done partial highlights that looked more natural in my brown hair) and left the salon almost completely icy blonde. I asked for face framing closer to curtain bangs, and she did not once ask if that was the length I wanted (it wasn’t). I didn’t see any of it until the end when she said I was done. I was caught off guard by the lack of attentiveness, and I’m bummed to have to write this.

Well, I will no longer be coming here. I was amazed with one hairdresser named Sarah, but the customer service from whoever picks up the phone when I call in is just appalling. She has SOOO much attitude and should not be working customer service. I referred my mom to Sarah today and when she called in, once again, the lady answering had a HUGE attitude. Luminous has lost one loyal client and another potential client.

She did a consult a few days before my appointment which gave us the chance to talk about what I wanted to do and to get her ideas about the best way to do that. She was super friendly and fun to chat with, and she did an excellent job taking me from my box-dyed pandemic brown hair (that hadn’t been cut in 18 months!) to a vibrant and fun red with a cute cut to match! I would highly recommend anyone to go see Lauren, you won’t be disappointed! Plus, Luminous Salon is doing a really good job with COVID precautions, something that’s super important. They’re keeping everyone spaced out, requiring masks, constantly sanitizing surfaces, and keeping the window open. She did a consult a few days before my appointment which gave us the chance to talk about what I wanted to do and to get her ideas about the best way to do that. I have been coming to Luminous Salon for about two years now and have consistently had a great experience with Jill! She is always willing to invest the time and energy needed to achieve my hair goal(s). She was the one to cut my long dark brown hair into a short, grey/lilac pixie cut and help me maintain it for a year, before transitioning to a darker grey look. She recommended different products and practices to use to prolong the color, even if it meant it decreased how often I would need to visit the salon. All in all, I have come to completely trust Jill’s skills and talents to magically morph my hair into exactly what I was envisioning, time after time. Would highly recommend!
