Luminous Nails

Critical: Professionalism, QualityThis place deserves 0 stars for their lack of service. I came in here on a Saturday afternoon. There were 2 staff working and only 2 customers. I felt uncomfortable from the minute I walked in, cold greeting. An older lady with short hair took my temp which was fine, I told her I wanted my eyebrows done. Her whole attitude was very off putting. When we got to the room, I asked her if she can wear gloves (we’re in a pandemic) she rudely said no need, I just washed my hands, I accepted that and proceeded to lay down. She then proceeded to apply the wax. I was expecting her to ask how I would want my eyebrows etc. but she didn’t, so I proceeded to tell her how I would want my eyebrows shaped. She immediately got offended and said “I’m sorry I don’t have time to do this today”. I walked out of the room and asked the remaining worker for the owner, she said the owner was not there but she was the manager, I tried to explain to her what happened but she seemed very nonchalant about the whole thing ( to her defense she was in the middle of someone’s else manicure) she offered to have me schedule an appointment with her for the service, which I declined and said I would not spend a penny in that establishment for that rude service of the previous worker. What an arrogant worker that was. I overheard her telling another customer that I was acting as if she didn’t know what she was doing; a customer telling you how she will like her services should not be an insult to you. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI’ve lived in Wilmington for a couple of years and had never seen this place but it is a GEM! Service is absolutely wonderful! The nail technicians were very interested in learning what I wanted and made some great suggestions on color. I had a regular Pedi and was fantastic. I decided to try the dip mani and absolutely LOVE it now. The nail technicians focus on you 100%. They’ll interact with you if you want to talk, but also respect if you’re reading or on the phone. There’s good parking right in front as well. As far as covid-19 requirements they were very good about them and because the place is spacious there are no issues to social distance. I’ve lived in Wilmington for a couple of years and had never seen this place but it is a GEM! Service is absolutely wonderful! The nail technicians were very interested in learning what I wanted and made some great suggestions on color. I had a regular Pedi and was fantastic. I decided to try the dip mani and absolutely LOVE it now. The nail technicians focus on you 100%. They’ll interact with you if you want to talk, but also respect if you’re reading or on the phone. It was chipped and one whole nail the polish just came off completely in less than a week, totally unacceptable! I reached out to them and also sent photos and they were NOT accommodating about correcting the problem. Clearly the person who did the manicure had NO IDEA how to do a dip manicure as several steps were not done I will now go to a different place. Really their loss as nail salons are everywhere.I have been going here for years. My last visit I had gotten a dip manicure. I have been going here for years. My last visit I had gotten a dip manicure. It was chipped and one whole nail the polish just came off completely in less than a week, totally unacceptable! I reached out to them and also sent photos and they were NOT accommodating about correcting the problem. Clearly the person who did the manicure had NO IDEA how to do a dip manicure as several steps were not done I will now go to a different place. Really their loss as nail salons are everywhere.
