My stylist was Laura T. and I absolutely adore her. 10/10 I would recommend her and Luis Allen Hair Salon to friends and family with no hesitation. I used the website to request an appointment. It was very late at night so I got a call the next morning. They managed to see me the same day, working with my schedule. This appointment meant a lot to me as I wanted to try something new, but I only wanted to move forward with the idea if the stylist reflected a confident vibe and did not rush me into the chair. Laura stopped to listen to all my comments and viewed the photos I had on my phone, then proceeded to advise what we could do, demonstrating on my hair before picking up the clippers. I am so happy I went forward with my decision, and my side-shave came out amazing and I love it. I look forward to visiting her again soon for touch-ups.

I really want to love this establishment, but I have only managed to successfully have my haircut by them once out of 3 tries. The first appointment was a great! Loved my haircut. The 2nd appointment was cancelled at the last minute by the stylist. She was ill, I can understand that. It was during the start of the holiday season, so booking again was a challenge. When I rebooked, the receptionist didn’t actually book the appointment. So I arrived for an appointment that was never made. And again, it’s during holiday season so I am having trouble finding another appointment to meet my schedule. It was such a disappointing experience. You know how it feels to be excited for a new haircut, just to find out the salon didn’t manage their business well.

It was baaaaad. Some locals referred me to this salon and Luis was able to color correct the mess the other people did. I’ve been going back and each time it has been a professional experience, and I always leave happy. The salon is clean and nicely decorated. The staff is always helpful when I call and arrive. And Luis is a genius… hair master… the sweetest personality… and so talented. mario dedivanovic vibes but for hair. I have long hair and each time I’m never afraid to get it styled here. I’ve been to a few upscale places in Dallas that weren’t worth the hype and this place is a hidden gem that has done such a better job with my hair!
