So, in my quest for a new foot spa, I have always wanted to try Lucky 777 Spa. It’s less than a mile from my home, so it’s very convenient. I called them this morning just to find out the cost for a 1 hour foot massage. They woman I was speaking to said it was $60. Feeling that price was a bit high, I thanked her and did not make the appointment. About an hour later, she called me back and said she wanted to offer me a discount. First, she said $50, but I told her I had made an appointment just down the road for the same service for $40 at Maple Spa. She immediately offered me the service for the same $40, so I accepted and cancelled my other appointment. My friend & I proceeded to our appointment. They brought us into the massage room and told us to undress. They didn’t even have a curtain up between us. We’re friends, but undressing to us is private. I was confused, as we were only going for a foot massage. They seemed confused too, but told us that it was a 30 minute back massage & a 30 minute foot massage for $40. We agreed to it, although we were expecting the 1 hour foot massage. The back massage for me was just shy of torturous. No matter how many times I asked the Masseuse to go easier, lighter or letting her know it was too hard by flinching and pulling away, she continued the assault. By the time I got up, I could barely bend over to get my clothing. I am no stranger to foot or back massage, so please don’t think that I wasn’t prepared for what the service really was supposed to be.
