Critical: PunctualityMy friend and I booked appointments for 2pm, we arrived 15 minutes early. We were seated next to each other and her pedicure started at 2pm. Mine started at 2:30. I understand they were running behind but I expected the same great service she was receiving. We had a slightly different treatment (she had paraffin, and I did not) I understand that’s a 5 minute extra long treatment, but I did notice my tech started to rush at the end. He missed a part of my heal when removing the calluse, my toe nails are all sharp. He was also pinching with his really sharp thumb nail next to my ankle while scrubbing, I didn’t say anything about the pain. He put the polish on in two thick passes, and without any time in between, because he didn’t allow time for it to dry, when he started putting on the top coat, the polish was dragging and towards the edge of my nails. When I said something (basically asking him to wait a minute or two before applying the polish) he did. I think he was frustrated I didn’t want to do the higher package on the manicure. But since he barely spent any time on the leg massage, I didn’t want to pay more money for that.He started to do my manicure and he started cutting my cuticles without cuticle cream or soaking, and again in rush. I asked him to slow down a couple of times, but he didn’t. He was going so quickly he cut my skin and had to go back 2 times to stop the bleeding, at this point the same Mgr came over and finished. He never even asked what shape I wanted for my nails.My nails are uneven, sharp, and not fully painted properly (have bubbles in them). I personally would not have gone back, but the manager was extremely kind. I hope they can regain my trust and I can change/update my review.On a side note, I have been extremely stressed, my husband and I are currently separated because of his overseas assignment, and I have been having a really tough time, we were posted in the Middle East together, but unfortunately not this time. My friend convinced me to get out of the house to relax, and this particular experience just frustrated me, I was trying my best to hide my tears at the salon, but I really don’t think I should have left the house.Update: it took 4 days for my big toes to heal and stop stinging from cutting my cuticles too deep. Critical: Professionalism, QualityI have come here many times and have always had good service. I came today for a manicure and was a horrible experience. I think because I’m a guy that they didn’t think I know how the process works. The lady buffed my nails and was going to let me leave with scratched nails. I asked why they were scratched and she said that’s how it’s done and will wear off in a few days. I explained to her that it’s not what is usually done. Finally a manager came over and buffed my nails the correct way. They then tried to add an extra charge at the front desk. I had to ask her why is it extra. She explained and I asked to not be charged the extra when I have had the same service done several times and never an up charge. She told me she will take off the extras but I could find business elsewhere. I was totally floored why she would even say that. I loved coming to this place. All because a girl was in a hurry and wanted to get me while her clients nails were wrapped. She was done with me in 9 min. I have never had that short of a manicure. I’m truly upset by this and will have to find another place. I have come here many times and have always had good service. I came today for a manicure and was a horrible experience. I think because I’m a guy that they didn’t think I know how the process works. The lady buffed my nails and was going to let me leave with scratched nails. I asked why they were scratched and she said that’s how it’s done and will wear off in a few days.
