Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityActually made an appointment here over a week ago. Just for a simple gel manicure and pedicure. Get there 10 minutes before my supposed appointment. Picked a color and waited 40 minutes… Mind you there were only 2 other customers with 2 technicians there and another woman came in to get a nail fixed which they attended while having me wait.I’ve never had to wait that long in any nail salon nor have I ever had to walk out. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI am a client of Ashley since 2016, and now that she has her own nail place. I am really happy for her and I totally will keep doing my nails with her until I die. She is the most amazing pedicure and manicure artist in Miami. And I love her work and she became a really good friend of mine. I am a client of Ashley since 2016, and now that she has her own nail place. I am really happy for her and I totally will keep doing my nails with her until I die. She is the most amazing pedicure and manicure artist in Miami. And I love her work and she became a really good friend of mine. I would recommend Lua Nail Bar with all my heart. =]

Critical: Professionalism, QualityI would rate 0 stars if I could. Please save your money and go some place else. First off, I scheduled and was confirmed for 2 appointments on the same day at the same time–acrylic nails and an eyebrow wax for myself, and a gel mani and regular pedi for my mom. Once we walked into the nail bar, I was immediately sat down and the nail tech Briana began to do my nails, however my mother was never addressed because apparently “everyone was on their last client so there was no time to do her nails” even though the place didn’t close for another 2 hours. By the time I was halfway done with my nails, still nobody had spoken to my mother. 2 other nail techs were completely done with their client and sat around scrolling through their phone until closing when they could have serviced her. When I asked why she wasn’t taken care of, the nail tech Ashley had told me that despite me being confirmed for 2 appointments, there was only one in the system (which was a complete lie because I have a text message confirming both the appointments). My acrylics ended up taking 2 hours to do–which is unheard of– and besides taking an extra long time to do my nails they ended up looking like garbage. I have hair in every single one of my nails, one of them is completely bumpy, and the nail art is clearly unfinished. Despite me also booking an eyebrow wax, nobody ever addressed it and I went home with ugly acrylics, unwaxed eyebrows, my mom never being serviced, and me robbed of $70. I wanted to try this place out because it is extremely close to my house and also because its new and a bit cheaper than other salons I’ve been to, however I’ve learned from this experience that it is definitely worth spending a little bit extra somewhere else in order to get quality nails and customer service.
