My son had 2 appointments with the owner Luis that I booked online. First time he was waiting over an hour and he wasn’t there. I was waiting outside in my car wondering what was taking so long when my son told me I told him to go to someone else. Haircut was not that great he was taking his senior pictures. Second time my son was waiting again and this time is was for his prom I booked a appointment with Luis again and he wasn’t there. The girl told my son he went to the the store to buy stuff my son was waiting for almost an hour. Yet I kept getting reminders that we had a appointment with him he was the one who seemed to need the reminder. So he had to go with another barber yet again. I think his shop is starting to go down. It’s a beautiful clean shop but it seems to me he picks and chooses who is good enough for him to give a cut. It seems to me he pays more attention to his new girl then his actual shop.

Results may vary depending on which barber you get. I had lengthy hair and asked for an undercut with a fade. The fade was fine but the barber ended up cutting the top too short and uneven all over the place. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice the hack job until I got home and washed out the product that was put in. And the barber put more attention to his phone than my cut.

I asked for them to get rid of my undercut. I walked out with an even worse undercut. I stopped the barber to explain to them what I wanted and they just shrugged and said they’ll “try” like bro, if you can’t do a cut be honest and don’t butcher someone’s hair. He took an hour just to disappoint me. I had to go get it fixed and he messed it up so bad I had to cut it super short so at least eventually it’ll grow into what i want. And to top it off they made me pay and only took $5 off. Like honestly i should of walked out without paying, unbelievable.

The place was amazingly clean. The staffs were very much accommodating and welcoming. I didnt get to get my Barber’s name though… but he’s cool and was nice tk have a good converse with him. Good on you El Barber! Will deffinitely come back…

I’ve been a customer for about a year now and the service leaves nothing to be desired. I pay $20 for my hair cut and $1500 for my beard, a little pricey yes but well worth it since my girl loves the beard. Its proprietor Luis is friendly sort that cares about his craft and his patrons and it shows in his impeccable style and the west side story feel to his establishment. Come experience the cut.

Critical: QualityToday was the 3rd time I’ve been to El Barber and I’ve had 3 different people cut my hair. Still haven’t received what I asked for & and today the guy cut my beard & I didn’t ask for it. He took a huge chunk of my beard and let me walk out without fixing it. This was the last straw!! First time here since my barber, Susana, started at this shop. I have been getting my haircut by her for years and would follow her anywhere she goes because of her friendly and professional service. Overall experience was great. Booked my appointment online and had no issues when I came in. Place is kept clean and the staff was friendly.
