I moved to Illinois in 1989 and have been a client of Lori Friend since a colleague recommended I try Lori’s services in 1990. Lori does a great job! She can translate what you think you want into something practical yet stylish. When I first went to Lori, she was the only stylist I found who would “foil” my hair. Over the years my whole family has gone in for Lori’s touch, and she did a great job styling hair for the entire bridal party in my daughters’ wedding. I’ve recommended Lori’s services to a number of my work friends, and over time that circle has grown quite large. Sometimes we are lucky enough to have appointments close together and catch a minute to visit, other times Lori will share news from my friends if she has seen them recently. I am always happy with my hair style when I leave Lori’s salon, and would never dream of going to anyone else!

I’ve been going to Lori’s for around 18 years. Lori also cuts my husband’s hair. We started going there when we worked close to Lori’s studio. After retirement (13 years ago) we continued to go to Lori even though it is a 40 minute drive and there are salons much closer. We stayed with Lori because she does a great job with my overly thick hair and my husbands thinning hair. It’s not just the quality of the service but it is also the atmosphere and friendliness of the studio. I appreciate Lori’s skill so much that I drive there every week for a manicure. I recommend Lori’s very highly. Matter of fact my sister now goes there too!

Lori Friend has been my hair stylist for years. She does a fantastic job cutting, coloring and highlighting my hair. She has also taken care of my three daughters’ hair from the time they were young girls into their adult years. One of my daughters who works in NYC comes home to have Lori give her highlights. I have been a client of Lori’s since the mid-1990’s. At first, I was an Abbott employee, so the convenient location was a consideration. Now, I live in Evanston, but still drive up to see Lori even though there are many salons closer to my home. The most important reason is that Lori makes my hair look good efficiently and at a fair price. I’ve had a number of previous stylists who did fine work, but were rarely on time. I cannot remember the last time I had to wait past my scheduled appointment time for Lori to be ready to see me. Everyone’s time is valuable. Lori never acts like her time is more important than yours. In addition, Lori is friendly and courteous. The salon is clean, bright and comfortable. I love Lori Friend Hair Studio!

She’s also helpful with recommending products that keep my hair shiny and in good condition. Her prices are very fair. I used to pay a lot more at Mario Tricoci, but get equal or even better services with Lori. Many people have discovered her skill as a coiffeuse, so just make sure that you make your appointments well in advance!
