What a thorough, considerate, and yet timely haircut! Lena took into consideration my request, figured out how to make the cut best fit my face, and was able to completely transform my look in less than half an hour! I’ve since returned for a touch up after a couple months of growth and was amazed at how quickly and succinctly she was able to trim everything back into a perfectly polished look. Both times she listened intently to my request and actually followed through with it. I’ve been to many salons where the stylist felt they knew best. Not here. Lena offered suggestions and asked clarifying questions and in the end gave me the exact cut I was looking for, all the while providing friendly conversation and exuding confidence in her work. I’ve now gotten two different cuts from her and I am excited to go back for the third.

Lena does beautiful work. She listened to my ideas on my hair and tailored her suggestions to mesh with what I wanted with a lovely result. I now have galaxy/oilslick color with long, soft layers, and my family said it’s their favorite hair of all time. Her location is easy to get to with free parking, and she is so quick and efficient while still being friendly and personable. The last place I had my hair done at gave me sticker shock, because their rent was so high and that transferred to their clients. I feel Lena does higher quality work at half the cost, so definitely works in my budget. Would I recommend her to others? Yes, 100%.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI’ve only recently started to see Lena after my hair was damaged by another stylist, who had not bleached my hair properly, leaving me with an uneven blue/grey color instead of the pastel purple I had hoped for. Lena was beyond talented and lifted as much of the color as possible before giving me a much better color purple. She was kind enough to give me a discount on fixing my damaged hair because of how terrible my experience was with the first stylist I had gone too. By my second appointment, Lena had completely given me my fantasy purple and I’ve gotten so many compliments since. (I’ve included before and after images).She is the nicest and best hair colorist I have ever gone too and will never let anyone else touch my hair. I’ve only recently started to see Lena after my hair was damaged by another stylist, who had not bleached my hair properly, leaving me with an uneven blue/grey color instead of the pastel purple I had hoped for. Lena was beyond talented and lifted as much of the color as possible before giving me a much better color purple. She was kind enough to give me a discount on fixing my damaged hair because of how terrible my experience was with the first stylist I had gone too. Although, she got the experience anyone in the beauty industry wish for; she lacks of empathy and kindness. After visiting her a couple of times for haircuts and being a good costumer, she told me that she was totally booked and that she couldn’t take me or my little daughter because she didn’t know when she will be available… such a nonsense is hard to take since we thought she will be our hairdresser while in West Hartford. Does she handpick her costumers? Is it even right to tell some people yes and other no when you are in a profession of service ? Please!

Lena did an unbelievably gorgeous job on my 13 year old’s hair. I have been going to Salon Medusa for the last 10 years for my own hair and just started bringing my daughter to Lena over the last year. She has done beautiful coloring and cuts.
